Globalworth is significantly scaling back its construction and development programme and suspended new investment activity. The company posted an update on COVID-19’s implications for its operations.

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is providing a green financing package of approximately €205 million to Warehouses De Pauw NV (WDP), a Belgian real-estate investment trust, to support the construction of around 1 million sqm of resource-efficient semi-industrial and logistics properties across Romania. The green financing fits within a larger €750 million financing programme and includes green financing from third-party investors mobilized by IFC under its Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program and from international commercial banks.  

Urbano Parks, a development company created by entrepreneurs Mircea Ilea, Alexandru Serban and Daniel Paraschiv in Cluj-Napoca, said over 95% of construction works on the first phase of Urbano Cluj Vest logistics park have been completed. The first tenants could move in next month.

Skanska has been assigned to construct a new medical faculty for the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW).

7R will make its debut on the Lublin market. The planned investment – 7R Park Lublin – will be a complex of modern warehouse facilities located in the industrial part of the city.

A new subsidiary has been created by the Bayer Construct group of companies, which is 100% Hungarian-owned and offers complex construction and real estate development solutions. The new company, Bayer Property will focus on the preparation and implementation of complex real estate development projects

Panattoni is building the first modern multi-tenant distribution centre in the Warmia and Mazury region. Panattoni Park Olsztyn, featuring in excess of 36,000 sqm, will be delivered in the Stawiguda commune, in the immediate vicinity of the Olsztyn Południe junction, connecting S51 with S16, approx. 20 km from the S7 route. The project will be implemented in several stages and the first tenants will able to move to in as early as August this year. One of the factors which made the launch of the project possible was the lease by A&E Clothing, an American company specialising in textile recycling, which will take up in excess of 7,500 sqm of office and production space. The deal was negotiated on behalf of the customer by Axi Immo.

Warehouse developer 7R is to build a specialized facility for Cefea – a company dedicated to the manufacturing, distribution and import of pharmaceutical products. The tenant will move into 7R City Flex Warsaw Airport I in July of this year.

IEE Sensing Slovakia has expanded at CTPark Košice. The manufacturer of automotive sensing systems has opened a brand new space, which will house the company's R&D Center. The company will also run its main European warehouse from the park. The premises built according to the strictest energy criteria were provided by CTP.

For residential developments executed in brownfield zones a VAT rate of 5% will apply instead of the normal 27%, the Minister of the Prime Minister's Office announced today.
