Companies have leased close to 550,000 sqm of industrial and logistics spaces across Romania in the first half of 2023, with more than one third of the volume represented by pre-lease agreements, according to Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.

Industrial developer CTP recorded a net rental income of €268.3 million in the first half of 2023, which was up by 26.8% compared to the same period of last year, while the volume of new leases also rose.

Nefab Packaging Poland, a provider of packaging and logistics solutions, has leased nearly 11,000 sqm of industrial and warehouse space for the next five years in CTPark Gdańsk Port. The lease allows Nefab to expand its presence in the Pomerania region and to boost its production volumes in northern Poland.

Trumpf Huettinger, which specialises in the design and production of advanced industrial electronics, is opening its seventh building in the fourth location in the Warsaw metropolitan area. The company has leased nearly 25,400 square meters of production and warehouse space at CTPark Warsaw East in Kobyłka, owned by CTP. At its latest Polish facility, Trumpf Huettinger will launch the largest production of control cabinets for the high-tech industry in Europe. Colliers facilitated the lease transaction of the CTPark Warsaw East building.

Romanian medical equipment distributor Dentstore has expanded its leased warehousing capacity in CTPark Bucharest to 8,500 sqm in a bid to accommodate higher demand from Romania and Bulgaria.

CTP has appointed Peter Čerešník as COO. In his new position, he will oversee the company’s construction GLA and occupancy targets, developing CTP’s energy business into a reliable revenue stream and further progressing the areas of procurement, business development and HR strategy. 

CTP has signed three new deals totalling 31,750 sqm at CTPark Budapest West and CTPark Komárom, both located close to Hungary’s capital city Budapest.

CTP is launching another industrial and logistics complex in the Mazovia region in Poland. The developer will develop two cross-dock facilities in Emilianów with a total leasable area of nearly 102,500 sqm. The investor has already received a building permit for the first phase of the investment. Its commissioning is scheduled for the end of the second quarter of 2024.

Stannah Stairlifts Limited, which has been helping disabled people to remain independent for more than 150 years and is a world market leader in the supply of stair lifts, moved in March to larger production premises in CTPark Brno Líšeň, where it leases more than 6,000 sqm. This is not the end of the expansion, however, as the company plans to move all their European rail production to Brno in the coming year, in order to provide faster and more flexible deliveries to European customers.

ViaPharma has signed a 20-year lease agreement with the developer CTP for two Czech CTParks. CTP will prepare and hand over the premises, with a total area of almost 27,000 sqm and several specific modifications for the pharmaceutical industry, at the end of 2023.
