The data centre market in Poland is worth over PLN 2 billion, according to a PMR report. The number of local companies that are deciding to outsource IT services and implement cloud solutions is growing. This trend means that international technology giants and companies from the CEE region are looking to establish a presence in Poland. In response to their needs, 7R, as part of its expansion strategy, has decided to expand its offer to include data processing centers.

BentallGreenOak, a leading global real estate investment management advisor and provider of real estate services, has announced the acquisition of a logistics park comprising three well-located, high-quality warehouses in Gdańsk, Poland. This marks the firm’s first investment in the Polish market, as it continues to expand its presence across Europe.

The 7R City Park Poznań complex will house the first European plant of the Ningbo Tuopu Group, a Chinese automotive company. Tuopu cooperates with global brands from the automotive sector, such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Chrysler, Ford, Geely and General Motors. The Poznań factory, with an area of over 30 000 sqm, will produce components for electric cars. It will employ 450 people.

7R has acquired land for two new last mile projects in Warsaw locations. The first will be built on Osmańska Street, near Chopin Airport, and the second - on Rzeczna Street in Targówek. 

M7 Real Estate, on behalf of its M7 CEREF II Fund, acquired two urban logistics schemes from 7R. Avison Young represented the seller as the exclusive agent throughout the transaction.

In 2020, we saw a significant shift in the perception of warehouses and the role they play in the economy. Investors now see them as highly valuable assets. Tomasz Lubowiecki, President of the Board at Polish logistics developer 7R talked to Property Forum about prosperity on the warehouse market, last mile logistics and difficulties around nearshoring.

2020 was a landmark year for the warehouse industry, which in the face of the global pandemic turned out to be one of the strongest branches of the Polish economy. Summaries for last year show that Poland was the number two European market (after Germany) for commissioning warehouse space, as well as number three on the continent for leased space. 7R, the only Polish industrial and warehouse developer to be in the Polish sector’s top three, summarizes its results for 2020.

Part of the Glamox Group, ES-SYSTEM, a producer and supplier of professional lighting systems, has decided to let nearly 11,500 sqm of modern warehouse and office space in the 7R Park Poznań East logistics centre. The tenant was represented in the negotiation process by AXI IMMO consultants.  

Last year, the industrial real estate sector in Poland claimed a record-breaking share (almost 50 percent) in the total volume of transactions. Two of the most popular locations among the sector’s developers and tenants are still Silesia and its sub-region of Zagłębie. This is where a modern warehouse and office facility has been developed by 7R for No Limit, the brand which specializes in servicing the e-commerce sector.

Construction of a fully automated center located in the vicinity of Radzymin, a town near Warsaw, started in mid-January of this year. The project for Żabka Polska, the largest convenience store chain in Poland, is set to be completed in 2022. The project will include a “high bay” storage facility with a height of 40 m. 7R is responsible for the investment’s development.
