The non-residential green building market is projected to grow by 9% a year from $69.01 billion in 2021 to $110.52 billion in 2025. How does the warehouse industry deal with social and environmental challenges? Will Poland, as the second most active development market in Europe, become a leader in decarbonization?

CBRE Investment Management, on behalf of one of its Pan-European funds, has completed the off-market acquisition of a fully-let portfolio of logistics assets in Poland, from 7R SA. Comprising a total of 44,844 sqm, the portfolio consists of 7R Park Poznań East and 7R Park Sosnowiec.

Due to the expansion of 7R's development business, the company's board has appointed Bartlomiej Krawiecki as Vice-Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, effective from September 2021, Bartłomiej Krawiecki is responsible for implementing 7R's development strategy in Poland and foreign markets. Łukasz Jachna also joins the company's management board, and from October this year, will be Chief Capital Markets Officer.

Martes Sport, a chain of large-format sports stores which was founded in Bielsko-Biała, is expanding its warehouse facilities with a lease agreement for space in Czechowice-Dziedzice, Poland. Due to development of its operations, especially in e-commerce, the company will occupy more than 21,000 sqm of warehouse space, as well as an office of approximately 1,000 sqm in 7R BTS Beskid III. The company’s new location will be operational in the second half of 2022.

Italian asset and fund manager Generali Real Estate has acquired 7R Park Gdańsk II in Gdańsk-Kowale on behalf of its pan-European Generali Real Estate Logistics Fund (GRELF) from Polish industrial developer 7R for an undisclosed sum.

7R is building an advanced warehouse facility in Silesia for Aluprof SA – one of the manufacturers of aluminum systems in Europe. The tenant, which exports products to 55 countries and has 1,300 regular customers, will move into the building in Q1 2022.

Tomasz Mika has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, effective August 1st, by the management board of 7R. He heads the company's financial division and is responsible for finance, accounting and controlling. He will also support 7R's business development in Poland and foreign markets.

Polish developer 7R has brought into use the tenth warehouse building in 7R Park Kraków in Kokotów on the south-eastern outskirts of the city. It is the largest complex in the company`s portfolio with more than 213,000 sqm GLA.

Construction of the first of two warehouse buildings in 7R Park Łódź West II complex is nearing completion. The building has been leased to two tenants. MDH, a subsidiary of the Meyra Group, will soon start its operations in the location. The company produces and sells orthotic supplies for people with movement disorders. During the lease process MDH was supported by the consulting company Axi Immo. VESBO Poland, a distributor of sanitary installations and water filters, has also chosen this location in Łódź

According to a report by McKinsey & Company, the digitalisation of products and processes is one of the new standards in the global construction sector. All indications are that the construction industry is also following in its footsteps. After the leaders from the office real estate sector, other leading companies on the Polish market, this time from the residential and logistics sector, are deciding on comprehensive digitisation of administrative processes at construction sites of their investments. Cordia Polska and 7R have signed long-term cooperation agreements with BauApp, a provider of a mobile application, tailored to the specific needs of companies operating in the CEE market.
