Bergam Design House will manage the renovation process of Grand Hotel Bucharest, former Intercontinental Bucharest, as part of an €21 million investment that will be completed in 2024. 

Polish warehouse developer MLP Group signed 48 contracts last year to lease a total of nearly 300,000 sqm of warehouse space, approximately 50% more than in the preceding year. The property portfolio managed by MLP Group has already exceeded 1 million sqm, with a further 2 million sqm under development.

Romanian developer One United Properties recorded revenues of 1.1 billion lei (€222 million) during 2021, up 105% year-on-year, while the gross profit expanded almost two-fold to 603.5 million lei (€122 million) over higher residential sales and increased rental income. 

A new 21,000 sqm logistics park is under construction in the town of Valašské Meziříčí, located in the east of the Czech Republic. The third fund of the Arete Group is now starting construction with an investment of over €15 million. According to the investor´s plans, the first tenants will move in by the end of this year, the company reports on logistikadnes.

There is scepticism in the market regarding the correlation between sustainability and financial performance but it is beneficial to be sustainable if you consider the overall life-cycle of the building, explains Oana Stamatin, ESG Chief Officer | CEE & Romania at Colliers. Romania's Impact Developer & Contractor says it sold 430 residential units during 2021, of which pre-sold apartments sales gained 37% to 250 million lei (€50.5 million), while the rest of 183 units were worth 138 million (€27.8 million). 

With the ending of the acceptance period of its takeover offer for Immofinanz, CPI Property Group announced that it will soon hold at least 53.33% of Immofinanz’s share capital and voting rights.

Area Ingatlan Kft and its co-investor have acquired BC 91 Offices located on Budapest's Váci Road office corridor.

Fortenova Group has signed a contract with Agram Group for the sale of the  Cibona Business Tower in Zagreb. The asset comprises office premises on 16 floors as well as garage areas amounting to 6,700 square meters overall. In accordance with the contract, the pruchase price is not being disclosed.

AFI Europe, an international investment group, is to buy shares in the Towarowa 22 project in Warsaw. AFI Europe and Echo Investment will jointly develop the commercial part of this complex. Echo Investment will independently be the investor of the residential part and the developer of the entire project.
