The Construction Act in Slovakia has been in force for half a century, and this year will probably not be its last either. The new Construction Act, or the Construction Act and Spatial Planning Act, was supposed to enter into force in Slovakia on 1st April 2024. The validity of part of the new legislation will be postponed, reports yimba.sk.

Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof, Germany’s largest department store chain owned by Austrian Sign Group, has initiated its third insolvency procedure in less than four years over financial issues.

The logistics operator from the LPP Group, the largest fashion company in the CEE region, has renewed its lease agreement for 31,800 sqm at Panattoni Park Gdańsk III. Industrial developer CTP has delivered the first foreign distribution centre of LPP Logistics in Romania spanning 65,000 sqm in CTPark Bucharest West. The construction of the warehouse started in January 2023 and was completed in less than one year.

Vilnius-based developer Releven has announced the receipt of a construction permit for the Horizontai project on the right bank of the River Neris at 59 Lvivo Street. With an estimated cost of €220 million, the Horizontai project aims to shape the landscape of the Central Business District (CBD) in Vilnius.
