Demand for modern industrial space is still considerably high though European manufacturing companies are not taking home their production as quickly as earlier expected. Meanwhile, Asian firms in the automotive industry are increasingly seeking proper warehouses and logistics service providers. Property Forum asked Máté Szoboszlay, Director of Capital Deployment at Prologis Hungary about the change in e-commerce-related demand and the special needs of Asian tenants.

In 2023, Cordia International sold its 10,000th apartment, a result of nearly two decades of operation. The Hungarian property developer is now planning a major new urban regeneration project in Budapest.

Due to its growing portfolio and improving tenant structure, Czech developer Contera has decided to secure financing for its projects and development for the next seven years, Daniela Fraňková, Contera's CFO, confirmed for Property Forum. According to the latest research from Savills and its flexible office specialist Workthere, London City remains the most active flexible office market in Europe with the sector accounting for 13% of all office take-up in H1 2023. This is followed by Prague (8%), Amsterdam (6%), Madrid (5%) and Warsaw (4%).

Romanian developer Iulius has signed a partnership with Oil Terminal, a public company owned by the state, for the urban regeneration of a 38-hectare land plot in Constanța. Iulius plans to invest more than €810 million in a large mixed-use scheme. 

7R has started work on 7R Park Wrocław West II. This is the company's first development made in accordance with its new decarbonisation strategy. In this case, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by more than 50%.

The biggest Czech commercial project by Skanska is officially open to both tenants and visitors. Port7 provides 36,000 sqm of prime office and retail spaces. Compared to typical buildings of its size, Port7 boasts over 43% reduction in energy consumption and a 50% decrease in potable water usage.
