The public sector, which employs over 3 million people in Poland, is becoming an increasingly stronger player on the office real estate market.

While taking care of problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, office developers in Poland already plan their strategy for the expected supply gap in the years 2023-24. Jeroen van der Toolen, Managing Director CEE at Ghelamco summarises the year 2020 on the Polish office market and explains why professional office space will be a needed commodity in the long run.

Israeli investment group AFI Properties has signed an agreement for the acquisition of the T-Mobile Office Park in the Warsaw district of Mokotów for about €100 million. The previous owner was Starwood Capital Group.

The construction of Warsaw EQ2 office building by Waryński Group will be completed in January 2021. The office building, which is being constructed in the Warsaw district of Wola, at the intersection of Wschowska and Ordona streets, will be equipped with modern air ventilation units that enable the selection of appropriate filters, adequately to the epidemiological threat. The operation of the ventilation system will be supervised by BMS system, monitoring air parameters. Additionally, individual spaces within the facility will be equipped with separate ventilation systems, while access to fresh air will be ensured with the installation of tilted windows in the offices.

Skanska has sold the second building from the Spark office complex in Warsaw to Stena Fastigheter AB, one of Sweden's largest private real estate companies and part of the privately owned Stena Group.

Colliers International has taken over the management of the DSV International Shared Service Centre in Warsaw.
