VGP has announced a charitable contribution of €3 million to support refugees from Ukraine in Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

Allianz Real Estate, acting on behalf of several Allianz group companies, and logistics developer VGP have agreed to form a new 50/50 joint venture. The vehicle, the fourth such venture between Allianz Real Estate and VGP since 2016, will develop a portfolio of prime logistics assets in Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.

VGP, a European provider of high-quality logistics and semi-industrial real estate, published a trading update for the first ten months of 2021.

Cushman & Wakefield has closed its largest-ever lease transaction on the Budapest industrial market, with Boxy Logisztika Zrt. signing a lease for 62,000 sqm in VGP’s Aerozone Park, according to the company's LinkedIn page.

VGP enters the Budapest market by purchasing a 38 ha development site at the strategic location of Üllő, adjacent to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The development potential of VGP Park Budapest Aerozone is approx. 125,000 sqm.

Felix Stroe is the new Operational Country Manager of VGP Romania starting October 1st. He is an experienced civil engineer with extensive experience in construction management. 

Industrial and logistics developer VGP recorded a net profit of €203.8 million in the first half of 2021. VGP announced its financial and operational results for H1 2021.

VGP has announced the appointment of Gergely Somogyi as Commercial Director for VGP Hungary. With Gergely's arrival, Laszlo Balogh will be able to focus more on land acquisition and development of new plots to support the strong demand and future development on the Hungarian market.

VGP and Allianz Real Estate, acting on behalf of several Allianz Group companies, announced a successful eighth closing with its 50:50 joint venture, VGP European Logistics. The transaction comprised of four logistic buildings, including two buildings in a new VGP park and another two newly completed logistic buildings which were developed in parks previously transferred to the Joint Venture. The four buildings are located in Germany (three) and in the Czech Republic (one).

VGP has signed two lease agreements with OKAY, the Czech electronics and furniture retailer. The company has leased more than 50,000 sqm of warehouse space in VGP parks Vyškov and Prostějov. The new hall in Vyškov is already under construction and will be handed over in September this year, at which point the park will reach 100% occupancy. The building in Prostějov will be ready for use from January 2022. Both projects are being carried out under BREEAM Sustainable certification, level Very Good.
