UBM sells timber building in Prague to local fund

UBM Development Czechia has sold an apartment building in the Timber Praha residential project to the real estate investment fund Future X1. Building M in the Timber Praha project, which represents the first multi-storey apartment building made of wood in the capital city, comprises 15 apartments with layouts from 1 + kk to 4 + kk and sizes ranging from 39 sqm to 110 sqm. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.

UBM finishes rough construction of wooden houses in Prague

UBM Development Czechia has completed the rough construction of the Timber Prague project of wooden apartment buildings, which are being built as part of the Arcus City residential complex in Prague-Reporyje. These modern chamber buildings made of solid CLT panels express the first multi-storey apartment buildings made of wood in the modern history of the capital city. They comprise a total of 62 units with layouts from 1 + kk to 4 + kk, ranging in size from 39 sqm to 110 sqm and each of them has its own cellar, parking space in the underground garages and a balcony, terrace or front garden. To date, a quarter of the apartments have been sold. The project is being built to BREEAM Excellent standard.

UBM to finish Prague resi project soon

UBM Development Czechia has successfully completed the rough construction of the Astrid Garden residential project in Prague 7 - Holešovice, where 138 apartments and two commercial units are being built. Construction of Astrid Garden has been underway since November 2021 and is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2024. The sale of the project, designed by renowned architectural studio Bogle Architects, is being handled exclusively by the real estate agency Lexxus Norton.

UBM plans 150 flats in Prague brownfield project

A neglected plot of land in Prague 5 has now been newly acquired for billions of crowns by Austrian developer UBM. It plans to build 150 flats there. It wants to start building next year, but the project is still in the planning process. The developer has not disclosed the purchase price, the seller or the details of the construction, writes E15.cz.

New leases

  • Golden Star Estate has secured a long-term lease agreement with global technology solutions and consulting provider C&F for nearly 1,900 sqm of office space at the Konstruktorska Business Center. Following the transaction, the property, located in Warsaw’s Mokotów business district, is now almost fully leased. The Polish branch of C&F will officially relocate to the facility at the beginning of 2027.
  • Natland Group has committed to its long-term presence at Prague-based Rohan Business Center through a lease extension covering 2,004 sqm of office space, together with storage facilities and dedicated parking spaces, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.
  • Yareal Polska has expanded the commercial offering at its flagship SOHO mixed-use development in Warsaw’s Praga-Południe district, securing three new lease agreements totaling nearly 500 sqm of ground-floor retail space. The developer has strengthened its tenant roster by signing pet supplies retailer Maxi Zoo, ceramics workshop Alike Pottery Studio, and coffee distributor Unroasted.

New appointments

  • Indotek Group has announced the appointment of Diederik Bakker as Group Chief Investment Officer and Group Head of Asset Management. In his new role, the Dutch real estate investment professional will gradually assume responsibility for the company's ITAM (investment, transaction, and asset management) activities across 12 European countries, supporting the next phase of Indotek Group’s growth. His focus includes facilitating sound investment decisions across Europe and developing a group-level portfolio management strategy that combines local market knowledge with international asset management know-how.
  • Peakside Capital Advisors has appointed Bogi Gabrovic to advise the board and support its investment and acquisition activities in Poland. Gabrovic brings more than 25 years of CEE real estate experience to the role, having previously held senior executive positions at CTP, Golub & Company, and White Star Real Estate, where she managed transactions exceeding €2 billion.
  • Katarína Brydone, Jana Vlková and Vendula Maršová have been appointed as the first Equity Partners of Colliers’ Czech business. Brydone brings more than 20 years of experience in international real estate. Vlková has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Maršová, Partner and Head of Valuation and Advisory Services, brings more than 16 years of experience in real estate valuation and advisory.
