Romanian developer Iulius has installed photovoltaic panels on the roofs of all eight properties in its portfolio as part of an investment that totaled more than €3.5 million that will help the company save up to 10% of the total energy consumed across the group. 

Developer Garbe Industrial Real Estate CEE has completed the construction of the first building of its industrial park in Piešťany, Slovakia. The new development is in line with the company’s sustainable philosophy and the hall's roof features photovoltaic panels, which will be the primary renewable energy source.

Portiva Group, with a portfolio of wind and solar parks with a total capacity of 30 megawatts, is set to build more solar farms in the Czech Republic. Although its focus in recent years has been on real estate and IT, the company now sees the time as opportune for investment in photovoltaic parks. It plans to build at least three, reports Hn.cz.

The largest rooftop solar power plant in the Czech Republic is to be built on a manufacturing campus in Tachov in the Plzeň Region. The estimated investment is almost €9.17 million, the Urbanity Real Estate Group announced.

CTP plans to install photovoltaic power stations in its CTParks with a peak performance of 200 – 250 MWp and with the growth of their portfolio reaching 300 MWp.

Pražská energetika (PRE), the Czech energy company, prepares massive investments in renewable energy sources. The company wants to decimate the capacity to reach 300 megawatts from its own "green" power plants by 2030. Therefore, the company has already planned several projects for the next three years, the Czech daily Seznamzpravy.cz reports.

S Immo Hungary decided to install more than 400 solar panels on top of the Blue Cube office building. The solar panels will cover 20-25% of the total energy consumption of the office building

CTP has started the construction of solar power plants across its entire portfolio, with the first phase of 6 buildings to be installed in Biatorbágy and Üllő, both located in the outskirts of Budapest.  The plants, each with a capacity of 500 kW, are scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of 2022, aiming to meet tenants' green energy needs while reducing energy costs. The project will be carried out by local contractors and will be developed by CTP as its own investment, entirely from its own resources.

MLP Group is embarking on a project to build rooftop solar power systems at ten logistic parks making up its Polish property portfolio. The project has been contracted to Quanta Energy. The PV panels will cover an aggregate area of about 120,000 sqm, featuring a total capacity of 5.93 MWp. The project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2023.

Three years ago, Aldi installed its first solar power plant in its store in Sopron, followed by the unit in Budaörs. Experiences have shown that the company was able to generate two months' worth of electricity consumption this way, which motivated it to expand the initiative. Aldi will install solar panels on the rooftops of 16 stores nationwide. It expects each plant to cover at least two months' electricity supply in the given store.
