The property sector is relying more on bank financing than bonds at present and this trend is likely to continue across Europe, concluded speakers in the dealmakers panel of SEE Property Forum 2022, held in Bucharest.

Romanian developer One United Properties says it will reconvert one of the office buildings in One North Gate into residential units under the One North Lofts brand. 

The office market is going through a period of stagnation, recording demand values similar to those of 2021, while new deliveries amounted to 105,000 sqm by September 2022, compared to 154,000 sqm in the same period of last year, according to real estate consultancy JLL Romania.

Globalworth has announced the appointment of Dennis Selinas as the new CEO starting January 2023, replacing Dimitris Raptis, who will step down from the executive role and the position of board member at the end of this year. 

Atalian, the facility management services provider, has expanded its collaboration with tires maker Michelin, adding Serbia in the portfolio, after France and Romania. Industrial developer CTP has delivered a warehouse spanning 12,000 sqm in CTPark Bucharest North for Sezamo, part of the European Rohlik Group.

Property developer GTC has completed the refurbishment of its City Gate Complex office project in Bucharest following an investment of €3.5 million.

While Bucharest’s office stock totaled 3.3 million sqm at the end of the third quarter of 2022, there were only five new office buildings completed and just another one will be delivered by year-end, which would make it a 5-year low for the market, according to real estate consultancy CBRE. 

Global Vision and Globalworth Industrial are expanding their joint portfolio with Mureș City Logistics, an industrial and logistics last mile project with a total leasable area of 18,000 sqm. The new investment is slated for delivery in Q1 2023.
