Romanian property company Metav will invest more than €40 million in the development of a new residential project with 164 units in Bucharest. 

Romanian developer Urban Invest will add a hotel under the AC Marriott brand in its mixed-use project Urban Plaza that is currently under construction in Brașov. 

Industrial and logistics developer CTP has named Matthias Bitzan as Country Head for operations in Austria. He joins CTP from Austria’s Erste Group Bank where he was head of Commercial Real Estate Clients and responsible for growing the bank’s loan portfolio in Austria and CEE markets over the last decade. 

Romanian developer One United Properties has secured the building permit for One High District, a large-scale premium development with 786 apartments. The gross development value of the project is €154.2 million and delivery is estimated for the end of 2025. 

The real estate and construction sector has attracted around €12 billion of foreign direct investments (FDI) in the last ten years, as the share of this economic activity in the overall FDI stock increased to a level of 17.4% at the end of 2021, compared with 9.2% in 2012, according to data from the National Bank of Romania analyzed by real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Romania is on a course to reach the highest record in history for the industrial segment and the trend will continue next year due to increasing demand from international retailers that are creating hubs in the country, according to CBRE Romania. 

Real estate investor-developer Hagag Development Europe has launched H Private, the first investment of the company in the private office niche in Bucharest. In addition, the company has completed the business center - H Private Arghezi, which will be inaugurated at the beginning of next year, following a consolidated investment of around €1.5 million. 

Romanian developer Novum Invest will invest in luxury homes as part of an expansion of its Novum by the Sea resort in Olimp. 

PPF Real Estate has announced the launch of the first stage of the ARC office project in Bucharest by clearing the existing structures on the site. The planned ten-story class A office building is due for completion in 2025.  

Logicor, the owner and manager of logistics real estate in Europe, has completed the development of around 21,200 sqm of prime warehouse space in Logicor Bucharest II, in the northeast region outside Bucharest.
