Property investment in Romania reaches record of €1.25 billion in 2022
Commercial property investment in Romania totaled €1.25 billion in 2022, up 40% compared to the previous years, of which the biggest single deal was Pavăl Holding’s acquisition of CA Immo’s office portfolio for €600 million, according to real estate consultancy JLL România. Belgian developer Atenor says it has agreed on a bilateral promise with CEE-focused real estate investment manager Adventum Group for the sale of the office complex @Expo in Bucharest. In the past 12 months, there were 154 buildings in Romania that received green certifications under the BREEAM or LEED standards, accounting for one-third of all buildings that were certified in the past 14 years, according to data from green building consultancy ADP.

New leases
- Global AI has entered the Romanian market by leasing 600 sqm of office space within the Bucharest-based Tower Center International building owned by Globalworth. The transaction was facilitated by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
- XXS GYM has signed a lease for over 850 sqm of space in the modern O3 Business Campus office complex, located on Opolska Street in the northern part of Cracow.
- Alior Bank has extended its lease at Ocean Office Park B in Kraków to accommodate its Private Banking Department. The deal, supported by brokerage firm CBRE, marks the final stage of a two-year consolidation of the bank's Kraków operations. Following the expansion, the bank occupies approximately 7,000 sqm within the Cavatina Group-owned complex.
New appointments
