Penta Real Estate has announced the results of the architectural competition held last year for a new building in Hybernská Street in Prague, on the site of the former post office building. Seven invited teams from the Czech Republic and Slovakia have participated in the competition.

Total demand in 2023 amounted to 464,570 sqm, while net take-up reached 238,250 sqm in the same period. Total demand increased by 19%, while net take-up showed a 21% growth compared to 2022, the Budapest Research Forum (BRF) reports.

Hagag Development Europe has withdrawn from negotiations with SNC-Lavalin for the purchase of an office building in Bucharest, in a deal estimated to have reached over €8 million.

According to experts from Colliers, the Czech real estate market is facing several challenges this year.

The investments transaction market in Romania totaled around €500 million in 2023, down from a record of more than €1.2 billion in the previous year, in line with lower deal volumes that have been recorded across region and the major international markets, according to a Colliers Romania report.
