Atenor launches large-scale Budapest project

Belgian developer Atenor is starting its latest large-scale project, Aréna Business Campus which is located in the 8th district of Budapest. The real estate developer, listed on Euronext Brussels, bought the 19,000 square meters site under 30 Hungária Boulevard last September, on which a Class A+ office complex of nearly 72,000 square meters will be built.

CA Immo Czech Republic under new leadership

Vaclav Jonas has been appointed Managing Director of the Prague office and is thus responsible for all asset and property management activities of CA Immo in the Czech Republic, including tenant support and retention. Companies keep setting up new HQs in Bucharest

Companies have rented almost 70,000 square meters of office space in Bucharest in Q1 2018, according to JLL. One-third of the demand came from companies that formerly had their headquarters in old, small buildings or in other different from modern buildings (non-competitive stock). This segment of demand increased compared to last year when it accounted for only 7% of the total take-up.

Futureal Group launches Advance Tower II in Budapest

Futureal Group has started the construction of the second phase of its Advance Tower office building located at the Váci office corridor in Budapest, Hungary. The expansion of the office complex will offer an additional 8,000 square meters of GLA. Advance Tower’s second phase receiving the international WELL Building Platinum Precertification is expected to be handed over in the second half of 2019.

According to “Occupier Economics: Office Market in Łódź in 2017”, the latest report produced by Cresa, last year’s absorption rate for office buildings in Łódź hit a record high of 55,500 sqm. With office stock at 437,770 sqm, Łódź is Poland’s sixth largest regional office market. The city’s vacancy rate currently stands at 9.3% (up by 3.1 p.p. year-on-year).

New leases

  • The company PKB Inwest Budowa has announced that the retail chain Lidl Polska will be a tenant of the newly developed Retail Park in Garwolin. The investment will include the construction of 3 buildings with a total area of 11,045 sqm. GLA. One of of them with an area of over 2,100 sqm will be occupied by a Lidl Polska shop.
  • Peek & Cloppenburg has chosen the Szczecin Galaxy shopping centre to make its debut in West Pomerania in Poland. The brand's only shop in this part of the country will be almost two thousand square metres in size.
  • The Enel-med clinic chain is opening two new outlets in Wrocław: 510 sqm in Sagittarius Business House and 1,374 sqm in the Infinity office building.

New appointments

  • Angelika Majkowska has taken up the position of HR director at Apsys Poland. Angelika, who has been with the company since 2013, will be responsible for complex HR policies in an organisation with a structure involving more than 19 teams in various locations.
  • Filip Krstičević is joining iO Partners in Zagreb as Regional Manager, focusing on leasing and land deals across the region. With a strong track record of acquiring land sites and developing residential and commercial properties in both Croatia and Australia, Filip is well placed to support international investors entering the Croatian market.
  • The Management Board of Globe Trade Centre S.A. has announced that on 18th of March, 2024 the company accepted Barbara Sikora's decision to resign from the company's authorities.
