DRFG to build multifunctional complex in Olomouc

Investment group DRFG has acquired land near the main railway station in Olomouc (the eastern province of Moravia in the Czech Republic) in March this year and plans to build flats and commercial premises there. It plans to build a multifunctional residential complex with retail space and offices on this brownfield site with a total market value of CZK 2.6 billion and an area of 43,000 sqm by 2025. The architectural design of the complex is currently being finalised. DRFG Group informed about its new acquisition and construction plans in a press release today.

€500 million megaproject to create new commercial hub in Ljubljana

In Ljubljana, a huge mixed-use project will see the creation of a new railway station, a new bus station, a hotel, a shopping centre, offices and apartments as part of the Emonika project. The public infrastructure project will be complemented by a private development by Mendota Invest, owned by Hungary’s OTP Real Estate Investment Fund. The project, which is worth nearly €500 million, was presented in Ljubljana by Sándor Csányi, CEO of OTP, Jernej Vrtovec, Slovenia’s Minister of Infrastructure, Zorán Janković, Mayor of Ljubljana, Dusan Mes, CEO of the Slovenian Railways and Janez Kozelj, Deputy Mayor of Ljubljana, Hungarian business daily Portfolio reports.

New leases

  • Hungarian startup Colossyan has leased 1,000 sqm at Academia Offices, in Budapest, at the end of May. The office project was opened six months ago and has already reached an occupancy rate of 80%.
  • PGD Sp. z o.o., a distributor of products for bakeries, confectioneries and ice-cream parlours, has leased approx. 2,000 sqm of production and warehouse space in Waimea Airport Logistics Park Szczecin-Goleniów investment. Axi Immo was the agent representing the tenant in negotiating and selecting a new location.
  • Tetra Pak, a global player in food processing and packaging industry, has leased approximately 1,200 sqm of space in Lakeside in Warsaw. JLL Poland is responsible for the exclusive commercialisation of the building, owned by Atenor.

New appointments

  • Robert Rogowski, former Vice President of the Management Board of Invest TDJ Estate, has been dismissed from his position. Magdalena Sierankiewicz has been appointed in his place.
  • Cushman & Wakefield Echinox appointed Cristina Lupașcu as Head of Marketing. She joined Cushman & Wakefield Echinox in 2021 as Director PR & Research, being responsible for assisting both the PR & Marketing and Research departments. Lupașcu has more than 20 years’ worth of experience in media and real estate.
  • Karolina Kunciak, an expert with experience in retail consultancy, has joined CBRE Poland. She will be responsible for high streets.
