Wola Center, the office building in Warsaw acquired by the Hines European Value Fund (HEVF 1) in 2020, and subsequently managed by global real estate firm Hines, has received a BREEAM In-Use Excellent certification.
Hines, the global real estate firm, has acquired a portfolio of four logistics assets, spanning a total of 65,960 sqm, in Prague on behalf of its Hines European Core Fund (HECF), from CPI Property Group, for an undisclosed price, the company announced.
PPF Real Estate Holding has entered the Polish market with the acquisition of New City, a prime business park in Warsaw. Poland and the United States are the new commercial property markets where PPF Real Estate Holding has begun operating this year. The company owns properties also in the Czech Republic, Netherlands, Romania, the UK, Germany and Russia.
Hines has acquired a major logistics park in Wrocław on behalf of the Hines Pan-European Core Fund (HECF) from GLL Real Estate Partners (GLL), the fund manager which is part of the Macquarie Group. The 123,499 sqm logistics park is fully leased to a global online retailer. The mezzanine warehouse facility was developed in 2015 by Panattoni Europe. The transaction price has not been disclosed.

Hines Poland Sustainable Income Fund (HPSIF), an investment fund managed by Hines Polska, finalised the sale of its real estate portfolio, comprising six distribution parks and the Nord Point office building, to CGL Investment Holdings Corporation Limited. Investing in commercial properties in order to increase their value and then selling them is one of Hines’ core business areas. In 2020, the company plans to expand in the Polish market.
Hines European Value Fund, acting through its subsidiary Gisla, plans to acquire the Wola Center office building in Warsaw from Develia. The parties have signed a preliminary agreement with the deal value set at €101.9 million.
Hines Global Income Trust has acquired a logistics property in Łódź. The property is a Class A facility designed for storage and light production and will be managed by Hines Polska. Along with its acquisition in Gdansk earlier this month, this acquisition represents Hines Global’s second Polish logistics facility.
Elegance Decor, the home & deco company, has leased 400 sqm in Bucharest-based Equilibrium 1 for its new office. The building has a total leasable area of 20,700 sqm and was developed by Skanska.
Majorel Polska, an international outsourcing services provider has extendied a lease agreement for the next 2 years and leased additional 400 meters for a new project - IT Hub in recently modernised Globis Poznań by GTC. It now occupies 3 200 sqm of A-class workspace. CBRE has advised Majorel Polska on concluding the lease contract.
NEPI Rockcastle Poland has extended its office lease agreement and enlarged its premises in the Cosmopolitan Twarda 4 building in Warsaw city centre. The shopping centre owner and operator now occupies 1,500 sqm of offices in the building.
New appointments
Tamás Kiss has joined Hungarian asset management company Diófa Alapkezelő Zt. and has been appointed deputy CEO. Previously he worked for several brokerage firms as a director of asset management and director of investment or compliance unit.
Tomasz Pietrzak, with MLP Group for more than five years, has been promoted to the position of Leasing Director Poland. Until recently responsible for the commercialisation of warehouse space in the Warsaw region, now he will manage leases across Poland.
