CTP is entering the Pomeranian regional warehouse market in northern Poland - the construction begins at CTPark Gdańsk Port. The Park is set to be the first investment in that region in the company's portfolio with an overall cost of €72 million, including land acquisition, and a yield on cost of around 10%, and will offer tenants two buildings with a total area of almost 119,000 sqm. The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.
7R has started construction of a new facility in Pomerania. 7R City Park Gdańsk Airport I will ultimately provide three halls with a total area of about 40,500 sqm. Pekabex is the general contractor for the project.
One of the next buildings of Olivia Center is to serve as an office, and the other as a residential one for long-term rental (so-called PRS). The investor has just received a building permit for both buildings.
CUBE Office Park in Gdansk is currently going through a green transformation process. The refurbishment of the reception lobby in building A, which was completed last year, is just a glimpse of what tenants may expect in the near future. CUBE Office Park is managed by TFG Asset Management while real estate advisory firm Savills is the sole letting agent for office space in the complex.
Walter Herz has opened a branch in Tri-City, which will be managed by Jarosław Zdzitowiecki, who took the position of Associate Partner/Head of Tri-City in the company.
NEPI Rockcastle, through its subsidiary, has acquired all the issued shares in the Forum Gdańsk shopping centre from a company ultimately owned by Blackstone-managed funds. The transaction encompassed the repayment of all the asset’s outstanding debt. Forum Gdańsk is a 63,500 sqm GLA shopping centre, situated in Gdańsk, the sixth largest city in Poland by population, with over 470,000 inhabitants.
C. Hartwig Gdynia, a leading Polish freight forwarding company of the global Rhenus Group, has expanded its lease to occupy a total of 16,100 sqm of warehouse and office space in the Pomeranian Logistics Centre. The tenant was represented during lease negotiations by real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.
French investment firm FREY has acquired Park Handlowy Matarnia in Gdańsk from Ingka Centres for €105 million. This is FREY’s first acquisition in Poland.
The first Radisson Red property in Poland is now welcoming guests. Radisson Red Gdańsk is part of the redevelopment of Granary Island in the center of the Pomeranian capital on the Baltic Sea. With this new opening, Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in Poland has grown to 22 properties in operation and under development.
Savills has been appointed as sole letting agent for office space in CUBE Office Park in Gdańsk and Górki 7 in Poznań, both managed by TFG Asset Management.
Intersport will open a new large outlet in the recently refurbished GOBUDA Mall in Budapest in Q3 2023. The firm joins German retailer Wellensteyn and Hungarian retailer Budmil, both started to trade there in March. A new Wok'n Go restaurant will be available in the mall in the Summer.
Wolt has leased office space in Warsaw's Lumen building. As a result of the transaction, the new tenant has taken nearly 900 sqm. The office building in the centre of Warsaw is owned and managed by Globalworth Poland.
Lighting company Wojnarowscy has agreed a lease renewal for 3,870 sqm of warehouse and office space in Panattoni Park Sosnowiec II. The tenant was advised on the lease renegotiation by experts of real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.
New appointments
CPI Property Group is expanding its retail leasing department. Dariusz Kafara has been appointed as the new Leasing Manager. At the Warsaw branch of the company, Dariusz is responsible for maintaining the maximum level of commercialisation in two retail park chains from the group's portfolio - CityMarket and STOP SHOP.
Brian Nyeng Olesen, formerly head of commercial at the Salling Group, has been appointed as the new managing director of Netto Polska. The position was previously held by Hugo Mesquita.
M Core appoints Magdalena Kowalewska as the new Chief Operating Officer at LCP Properties, Poland. This comes at the same time that Krystian Modrzejewski has accepted a post as the Group Head of Expansion for Poland, where he will be responsible for realising the opportunity for land and asset acquisition in aid of portfolio growth. LCP Properties Poland is part of the M Core group, which brings together family-owned companies that invest in and manage real estate. It comprises LCP, Proudreed, Sheet Anchor, GIPAM and Evolve Estates.
