The City of Prague intends to provide rental apartments for firefighters, teachers, police officers and other necessary professionals in the next ten years with massive construction of public housing.  Last year, the city established the Prague Development Company (PDS), which is to prepare construction on city plots, the municipality announced.

Heimstaden has offered the Czech government 500 apartments for Ukrainian families. At the same time, the company is trying to equip the flats, which can accommodate up to 2,000 people, with furniture. At the same time, it is also trying to take care of the families of its Ukrainian employees, the company announced in response to the current war situation in Ukraine. 

Romania's Impact Developer & Contractor says it sold 430 residential units during 2021, of which pre-sold apartments sales gained 37% to 250 million lei (€50.5 million), while the rest of 183 units were worth 138 million (€27.8 million). 

List prices for residential properties in Romania rose by 3.4% in the last quarter of 2021 compared to the previous three months. 

Heimstaden continues to invest in its portfolio in the Czech Republic. This year it will spend almost two and a half billion crowns on thermal insulation, new projects and repairs, the company announced.

The largest new residential district in the Czech Republic, which will be built on a brownfield site, is starting construction in Prague 3 in Žižkov. It could house up to over 5,000 people. The planned investment is estimated at CZK 20 billion. According to the plans of the developer Central Group, the first inhabitants could move in as early as 2024. The entire Park District should be completed within ten years, the developer plans.

RSJ Group plans to build a multifunctional project in the historical centre of Prague in Revoluční Street near the Vltava River. The competition for the architectural design of the new building was won by Czech architect Eva Jiřičná, who lives in the UK. The developer is currently working on a plan to demolish the original building, E15 reports.

Property developer Alesonor has signed a partnership with Holcim Romania Group for the supply of innovative construction materials that will be used in the Amber Forest suburb near Bucharest. 

Real estate developer City Garden has started the second phase of Bonton Luxury Villas Pipera that will feature 30 new homes. 

In 2021, PSN has grown not only in the number of collaborators but also in the number of projects and new acquisitions. It sold 294 units for CZK 1.5 billion and completed over 800 leases worth CZK 70 million. PSN's plans for the next five years include the construction of 3,000 new apartments worth CZK 11 billion and it plans to invest another CZK 10 billion in land acquisitions.
