Panattoni is extending a production plant making specialised telecommunications systems at Panattoni Park Szczecin I. Next to the existing 32,000 sqm, the developer will build a further 24,000 sqm. As a result, this June the logistics and industrial complex will be 80 percent completed, and by year-end Panattoni intends to embark on the construction of the final 42,000 sqm phase of the park, completing the entire project planned to total 220,700 sqm.

The developer is working on an extension of a production plant operating at the complex, which makes specialist electronic components, network solutions and telecommunications systems. Next to the existing approx. 32,000 sqm, Panattoni will add a further 24,000 sqm, including 21,000 sqm of production space and 3,000 sqm of office and staff facilities. Nearly all of the space currently being built is intended for permanent workstations, and so the developer will see to adequate lighting (including natural light), as well as high air change parameters. The structure of the building will have to accommodate demanding technological installations, including 8-ton overhead cranes. Completion of works is anticipated in the coming June, bringing the total space at Panattoni Park Szczecin I to more than 180,000 sqm (80 per cent of the planned total).

Panattoni is aware of the potential of Panattoni Park Szczecin I – at present, 155,000 sqm are completed, additional 24,000 sqm is under development, and works on the last phase of the park, amounting to approx. 42,000 sqm, will commence before the end of the year. According to Dorota Jagodzińska-Sasson, Managing Director from Panattoni: “Szczecin is an extraordinary spot on the warehousing map of Poland. It is a relatively new market but has already become a real gem in the eyes of tenants, as well as investment funds keen to build diversified logistics portfolios. This is evidenced by this year’s purchase of Panattoni Park Szczecin II by one of the Asian funds”. She then adds: “Panattoni projects in Szczecin guarantee the shortest transport routes to the major cities of Germany and northern Poland. Szczecin also boasts direct rail connections with the largest European cities, as well as Szczecin-Świnoujście Seaport, which makes Szczecin together with Świnoujście one of the region’s largest comprehensive port complexes”.

Panattoni Park Szczecin I is a modern distribution centre planned to total close to 220,700 sqm in 7 buildings. All of the facilities feature unloading docks, ground-level access gates, spacious service yards and additional parking spaces. The space within the park can be tailored to the individual needs of customers from different business sectors, including logistics and manufacturing. But, these are not the only advantages of this park – the site is just 7 km from the “Szczecin Dąbie” junction, connecting the S3 expressway with the A6 motorway, and a short distance from national road no 10. The strategic location provides excellent connections with key cities in Poland and Germany. There is also a railway station in the immediate vicinity of the park.
