UNIQA Real Estate Management GmbH is expanding its activities by opening its investment and management platform to external capital for the first time. Until now dedicated to the UNIQA Group's own real estate portfolio, the platform will offer investment solutions to international institutional investors and large family offices, with an initial focus on clients from Germany and Austria.

Investors will be able to access the platform through fund vehicles, separate accounts and club deal structures, depending on their individual investment strategy and mandate requirements.

"By opening our platform to third-party capital, we are making available the real estate expertise we have built up over decades in our core markets of Austria and Central and Eastern Europe. Institutional investors today expect more than access to attractive real estate assets. They are looking for active investment management across the full property life cycle, with a clear focus on protecting and enhancing investor value," said Thomas Erdmann MRICS, Managing Director of UNIQA Real Estate Management GmbH.

UNIQA Real Estate has managed the UNIQA Group's real estate activities for 50 years. Its integrated platform covers key parts of the real estate value chain in-house, including active asset and portfolio management throughout the full property life cycle. The company currently manages more than 200 properties with over one million sqm of lettable space and approximately €3 billion in assets under management.

The portfolio is diversified across the office, retail, hotel and residential sectors. Geographically, it is focused on Austria as well as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania, and includes core and core-plus assets ranging from historic Viennese Gründerzeit properties to modern office and hotel buildings.
