The next few months will show the extent to which the increase in the costs of renting office space and property maintenance will affect further development of the office sector. Higher costs of running a business will force companies to verify their budget plans, says Robert Pastuszka, Director, Office Agency at Avison Young Poland.

While Bucharest’s office stock totaled 3.3 million sqm at the end of the third quarter of 2022, there were only five new office buildings completed and just another one will be delivered by year-end, which would make it a 5-year low for the market, according to real estate consultancy CBRE. 

In Q3 2022, the volume of new supply in Budapest's office market increased significantly compared to the previous quarter, marking the highest volume since Q2 2020, the Budapest Research Forum (BRF) reports.

Ghelamco officially presented its latest project in the business centre of Warsaw. The office complex named VIBE will comprise of two buildings located next to the other project of the Belgian developer, the Warsaw HUB. 

The second phase of the almost completely contactless Corvin Innovation Campus office building developed by Hungarian firm Futureal has reached its highest point. This part provides 14,310 sqm of office space, and it has been developed according to the energy-cost-sensitive tenants’ needs. 

Property developer AFI Europe aims to obtain by 2025 the LEED Zero Carbon certification for all ongoing office projects, and also for all future AFI Europe’s projects targeted to be developed in the future in Romania. 

Romanian developer One United Properties has purchased Bucharest-based office project Eliade Tower from Eurobank Greece for €9.5 million. The building is located near the company’s mixed-use complex One Floreasca City. 

Iulius Town Timișoara has reached 80,000 sqm of premium office space accommodating 40-plus companies from three continents upon opening United Business Center 0, the fourth office building in the complex. 

Two years after the start of construction, Skanska has completed works on the P180 office building, located at the Wilanowska metro station. The building received an occupancy permit, which means that the Warsaw office market has gained an additional 32,000 sqm of office space. IT specialists from the international Netcompany moved into the newly commissioned office building, which offers the tenant 6,000 sqm of space.
