General contractor Harden Construction has started building a logistics centre in Sosnowiec for the Raben Group, one of Europe's logistics companies, with completion scheduled for Q1 2027.
The project involves a cross-dock facility with a total built-up area of nearly 12,700 sqm. Warehouse space will take up 11,300 sqm, while office and social facilities will occupy 1,624 sqm. This is the second project Harden Construction has carried out with the Raben Group, following a 43,400 sqm facility built in Poznań in 2024.
The investment also includes expanding the local road network, with a new junction on Inwestycyjna Street. The internal infrastructure covers over 35,000 sqm of paved areas made of asphalt and cement concrete. There will be 137 parking spaces, a bicycle shelter and 103 loading docks.
The Sosnowiec project is built on land that was once a mining heap. The project follows EU taxonomy guidelines and will be fitted with a photovoltaic installation, with nearly 11,000 sqm of biologically active surface.
