Partners Group invests €500 million in Poland and Italy
Partners Group, the global private markets investment manager, has this quarter agreed to invest in two real estate portfolios in Europe on behalf of its clients, comprising eleven residential properties in Italy and eleven office assets in Poland. The properties have a gross asset value of €500 million and a combined leasable area of 170,000 sqm.

Slovak businessman buys into Austrian company S Immo
Evax Holding GmbH, a company owned by Peter Korbačka’s Eurovea Services, has purchased 3,836,988 shares of S Immo AG, corresponding to a 5.21% stake, from Etamin GmbH & Co KG. The transaction, which took place on 12 November, has made the Slovak businessman the third largest shareholder in the Austrian company.

GTC issues €110 million of green bonds in Hungary
On 3 December 2020, GTC’s subsidiary, GTC Real Estate Development Hungary Zrt., issued 792 pieces of senior unsecured bonds, with the nominal value of HUF 50 million each and the total value of HUF 39.6 billion (approximately €110 million). The bonds will be fully guaranteed by GTC S.A.

URW rumoured to sell Bratislava shopping centre to Wood & Company
Current owner Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield is reportedly planning to sell the Aupark shopping centre in Bratislava and is currently in the final talks with Czech investment group Wood & Company, according to index.sme.sk. The potential new owner is allegedly interested in purchasing the asset for around €500 million.

European Logistics Investment BV (ELI) has acquired two warehouse facilities located in Wrocław. ELI, together with its partner Panattoni, plans to further develop the site in order to deliver City Logistics Wrocław North totalling 45,000 sqm of logistics space.

CTP buys Bucharest asset in leaseback transaction
Businessman Dan Șucu has sold the logistics centre of furniture and decoration retailer Mobexpert, located near Bucharest, to developer CTP in a "sale-and-leaseback" transaction valued at about €14 million, profit.ro reports. Mobexpert will remain the long-term tenant of the building.

New leases
- Froo Romania, a subsidiary of the Żabka Group, has relocated its HQ to the Bucharest-based Hermes Business Campus. The retailer secured around 2,900 sqm of office space in a transaction facilitated by Colliers.
- Court One has signed a lease for approximately 6,300 sqm of space at MLP Business Park Vienna. The tenant, a subsidiary of the Padeldome group, is currently Austria’s largest operator in the sector, managing 42 courts across four locations in the capital.
- Polish fashion and lifestyle brand Medicine has accelerated its domestic expansion, headlined by the opening of its largest store to date, a 985 sqm flagship at the Silesia City Center in Katowice. This strategic scale-up is mirrored by simultaneous growth in several regional markets, including a new 740 sqm unit at Magnolia Park in Wroclaw and a 600 sqm extension at Galeria Warmińska in Olsztyn. The retailer further bolstered its Silesian presence with a 500 sqm location at Pogoria Shopping Centre and a new opening at CH Platan, significantly increasing its total floor space across Poland.
New appointments
- Avison Young has promoted Bartłomiej Krzyżak and Marcin Purgal to the roles of Co-Heads of the Investment Department in Poland. Krzyżak, previously Senior Director, brings 18 years of commercial real estate experience, having joined Avison Young in 2017. Purgal, also a former Senior Director and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), transitions into the co-head role with 23 years of experience in the CEE commercial markets.
- Avison Young has strengthened its Polish leadership with three senior promotions. Patryk Błach ascends to Associate Director within the Investment Advisory Department. Kamil Głowienka has been named Senior Project Manager. Furthermore, Katarzyna Uzar becomes a Valuation and Innovation Specialist, tasked with integrating technological solutions and coordinating global departmental projects.
- Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
