Panattoni has announced another Warsaw development, which is to be built on a 1.9 ha site next to the S7 junction with the S8 expressway just a few kilometres from Warsaw's Chopin Airport. City Logistics Warsaw Airport II will have an area of 9,000 sqm and construction work is to begin in August.

The Polish industrial market continues its strong momentum. Both take-up and supply reached high levels in H1 2020, say experts of global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, summarising the first half of 2020 on the industrial market in Poland.

The Polish warehouse market maintained its robust momentum in the first half of 2020, with a record 2.38 million sqm leased. Gross take-up in the second quarter of 2020 – during a time of strict COVID-19 lockdown measures - was as much as 50% higher compared to the same period in 2019, at 1.36 million sqm. Such good outcomes were the result of high demand for space on the back of booming e-commerce trade and numerous BTS transactions which commenced earlier in the year, according to Axi Immo.

Over the second quarter, Prologis turned in a strong result both globally and in Europe, despite ongoing uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The logistics sector remained resilient during the period with robust take-up levels and declining vacancy thanks to tight supply and sustained and growing demand.

Panattoni has signed its latest lease with Terg, the owner of the Media Expert consumer electronics chain. The tenant is to occupy more than 12,000 sqm at Panattoni Business Center Łódź III in the city’s Widzew district, which it will be taking up in September 2020. Colliers International advised the tenant for this transaction.

In September 2019, CTP announced its goal to certifiy its entire portfolio of industrial buildings according to the BREEAM standard, and in January began the certification process in six countries with local appraisers. CTP now announced the 80% milestone and the 100% certification of its country portfolios in Romania, Serbia and Poland.

Element Industrial announced four new tenants for the recently delivered second phase of Eli Park 1. Euro Games Technology Romania, a company active in the production and distribution of a wide range of products in the gaming industry, Mobilier 1, online home & deco retailer, Decor Floor, a leader in commercial and residential floors and Dentotal, the market leader in the distribution of dentistry products rented over 10,000 sqm in Eli Park 1, the logistics park developed by Element Industrial in the Buftea Chitila area.

CTP continues its expansion in Romania by developing a new logistics park in the Northern part of Bucharest – CTPark Bucharest North. The park, located in Ștefănești, Ilfov County, has a total area of 21 ha and has a large opening with access to the Bucharest Ring Road, close to the A3 highway. The total value of the investment in the new logistics park amounts to €65 million.

During Q2 2020, gross take-up, which includes renegotiations, reached 360,500 sqm showing a slight increase of 13% compared to Q1 2020 figures. In comparison to the same period of the previous year, gross take-up decreased by 14%. The Industrial Research Forum published its Q2 2020 figures for the industrial market in the Czech Republic.

Dywidag Systems International has leased 24,000 sqm of production-social space in Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska II, site for the production of Post-Tensioning Systems and Stay Cable Systems. The tenant was represented by Cresa Poland.
