eMAG announces that in the summer of this year, an area of 100,000 sqm will be put into use from the industrial park from Joiţa, at km 19 of the A1 highway, which will have a total area of 130,000 sqm. All automation will be ready by September 2022, when the entire logistics center will be operational. The investment amounts to €90 million and was announced last year.

The logistics park is located on a land area of 290,000 sqm, on which the company is building a logistics hub that will cover 130,000 sqm. In the summer of this year, an area of 100,000 sqm will be put into use, and all the automation will be ready by September 2022, when the entire logistics center will be operational.

With the unprecedented growth of online commerce, the new hub will be made available to entrepreneurs who want to evolve in the new economy and do eCommerce using the infrastructure provided by eMAG through the Fulfillment by eMAG (FBE) program. Through this program, eMAG offers eMAG Marketplace merchants services throughout the logistics chain from reception to storage, picking, packaging, delivery, customer relations, or return, where appropriate. More than 1,000 companies are expected in the FBE next year.

"These centers are part of the infrastructure for the new way of trading and part of the new economy: the digital economy. We estimate that we will create at least 1,200 jobs in the industrial park, and the impact on the local and central economy will be visible because we anticipate that the demand for goods and services will increase, and other investors will come to the area", said Tudor Manea, General Manager of eMAG.
