Panattoni to deliver 105,000 sqm project for DHL in Poznań

Panattoni has completed the shell stage of another huge commission for the e-commerce sector. In Żerniki near Poznań, the developer is building a BTS facility with an area of 105,000 sqm for DHL Supply Chain. The latter company will use the space to carry out the logistics operations, among others, for Zalando required for distribution to several European markets – including Poland and Germany.

Construction volume of Czech industrial market reaches all-time high

According to Savills, the development pipeline for the Czech industrial market reached the highest level in history in Q1 2021. There were 47 industrial buildings in various stages of construction with a total rentable area of 734,200 sqm across the country. Speculative projects represented 36% of this construction pipeline, which was well below the 10-quarter average of 46%.

Fiege leases 11,000 sqm in Pannattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski

Panattoni is expanding Panattoni Park Gorzów, where it has recently secured another tenant. Global logistics operator Fiege has leased 11,000 sqm in the park, which the company will use for the logistics operations of a client from the production sector. Panattoni Park Gorzów should be completed in November this year when it will comprise almost 70,000 sqm. The entire park is to be BREEAM certified at the ‘Very Good’ level.

W&L to deliver four warehouse buildings in Sofia

Developer Warehousing & Logistics EOOD (W&L) has begun the construction of the newest industrial park in Bulgaria, called Logistics Park Sofia (LPS). The park is located about 8 km from the capital Sofia. W&L is planning to build 4 warehouse buildings in the complex which will span more than 116,000 sqm of industrial and office space that will be available to potential tenants. So far this is the first Bulgarian logistics park with such a high concentration of industrial space.

BIK Group expands warehouse centre near Wrocław

Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych started the second stage of development of the BIK Park Wrocław logistics park. The project will provide approx. 22,500 square meters of warehouse space. Consequently, the surface area of the entire complex will reach the target level of approx. 47,500 square meters. The construction works are planned to be completed by the end of this year.

Huge spike in take-up of warehouses in Poland in Q1 2021

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, warehouse take-up hit a record high of 1.6 million sqm, reveals an industrial market summary for Q1 2021 released by global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield. The strongest leasing activity was reported in Poznań, the Warsaw area, Upper Silesia and Central Poland.

New leases

  • De Heus, a producer of animal feed, which has built a strong presence in the Polish market, has leased 7,050 sqm of warehouse and office space at GLP Łódź III Logistics Centre. This is the first Class A warehouse of De Heus in Poland. The tenant was advised by specialists from Newmark Polska during the search for the right space and throughout the lease negotiations.
  • Endava has leased an additional 2,400 sqm in the UBC 1 building, part of the Palas Iași mixed-use complex owned by Iulius. This expansion brings its total office area to 5,500 sqm.
  • Revetas Capital announced that Bonarka for Business “B4B” has secured a lease extension contract with a company of Hitachi Group - GlobalLogic. The company, a leader in digital product engineering, has been a tenant in B4B since 2016 and leases in total of 6,500 sqm of office space in Building F.

New appointments

  • Oliver Derksen is joining iO Partners Romania as the new Head of Office Advisory, having over 16 years of expertise in office leasing and business development.
  • GTC has announced the appointment of Sebastian Junghänel to the Management Board as Chief Operating Officer, effective 2 September 2025. With more than 18 years of experience in the real estate sector across Germany and CEE, Sebastian brings strong expertise in asset management, project development, ESG and innovation. His career includes co-founding ZEITGEIST Asset Management, where he built a €1 billion portfolio, and senior management roles at HOCHTIEF Group. At GTC, Sebastian will focus especially on the oversight of our portfolio in Germany, which includes, includes 5,200 residential units in Kaiserslautern, Helmstedt, Heidenheim, and surrounding areas. His know-how will also support our development projects in Central and Southeastern Europe.
  • Justyna Filipczak has taken up the position of Executive Vice President of the CEE residential segment and joined YIT's management team.
