New residential district to be built in Plzeň for €825 million

APB is planning a residential development on its land in Plzeň. It wants to build a brand new district on the site of the former Slovany barracks for CZK 20 billion (€825 million). The company has already signed a memorandum of cooperation with the city, which will help to build a new kindergarten as part of its subsidies, writes the daily e15.cz.

Polish warehouse market waits for better times

The Polish industrial and logistics market is transitional between economic shifts. Demand for warehouse space declined primarily in the first half of 2023, with a resurgence in Q3, resulting in aggregate demand for the first three quarters of this year of 3.75 million sqm (-25% y/y, Q1-Q3 2022). Higher investment financing costs are affecting the volume of space under construction, with developers developing 2.5 million sqm at the end of September 2023 (-36% y/y). It also impacts the volume of space delivered, which amounted to 3.12 million sqm from January to the end of September (-13% y/y Q1-Q3 2022), says Axi Immo.

Regesta leases almost 22,000 sqm of warehouse space in Central Poland

Regesta, a logistics services provider will lease 21,700 sqm of warehouse space in Panattoni Park Zgierz. Its central warehouse will support its four existing warehouses across Poland, with another two under construction. The tenant was advised on the transaction by real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.

Warimpex opens new office building in Kraków

Warimpex has opened its third office building in Kraków, the Mogilska 35 Offices. The taxonomy-compliant property has 11,900 sqm of space, is located in the immediate vicinity of the city centre and is named after its address on Mogilska Street. There are also Warimpex office buildings at numbers 41 and 43, which are fully occupied. Mogilska 35 is already almost half let and also offers flexible coworking options.

New leases

  • Yokogawa Romania has extended its lease agreement for another five years in Building F of YUNITY Park, a business campus owned by Genesis Property. The agreement marks the fourth consecutive renewal for the local subsidiary of the Japanese industrial automation and process control company. Originally signed in 2007, this latest extension brings the total duration of the corporate partnership to more than 20 years.
  • Vastint Romania has secured a new lease agreement with Arcadis Romania for 1,183 sqm of office space in Building A of the Business Garden Bucharest development.
  • Karimpol Polska has signed a major lease agreement with Volkswagen Financial Services at the Skyliner II complex at Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw. The automotive financial services provider will occupy nearly 6,000 sqm of office and retail space in the project's second tower. Following the transaction, the occupancy rate of Skyliner II has reached 50%.

New appointments

  • BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland has expanded its Industrial and Logistics Agency team with the appointments of Joanna Choromańska, formerly of JLL, and Bartosz Wilczyński, previously with CBRE. The new hires bring a combined 34 years of experience in sector sales, lease negotiations, and build-to-suit project delivery to support the division's ongoing growth.
  • Speedwell has expanded its industrial and logistics team with the appointment of Valentin Achim as Leasing and Property Manager for Industrial Developments. Achim brings extensive experience in coordinating commercial and operational activities within the logistics and industrial sectors. In his new role, he will oversee the development and expansion of the company's Spaceplus platform.
  • Colliers has appointed Kata Mazsaroff, Tamás Beck, and Miklós Ecsődi as Equity Partners in Hungary, effective 30 April 2026. Mazsaroff, who joined in 2007, rises to Managing Partner after overseeing a 200 per cent revenue increase since her 2022 appointment as Managing Director. Beck, with Colliers since 1994, has led the Industrial & Logistics division since 2005, facilitating transactions covering 1.9 million sqm of built space and 9.8 million sqm of land. Ecsődi, Head of Occupier Services and Office Agency since joining in 2011, has secured over 450,000 sqm in leases valued above €600 million.
