Luxury hospitality group Hyatt is planning the development of its first hotel in Romania as part of its expansion into CEE. The company is looking to develop an upper scale hotel in Bucharest with around 200 rooms.

New warehouses could be built in the Košice region. Besico Real Estate is planning to build new warehouses in the industrial park Kechnec. The new complex should have an area of almost 100 thousand square meters. The company has not disclosed the amount of the investment, writes Trend.sk.

In the first half of the year, there was a sharp decline in the volume of real estate investments in Poland. Co-working space provider WeWork, which was once valued at $47 billion, has been forced to file for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US. The filing is set to provide the company with protection from its creditors and landlords as it restructures its vast debts. Based on its latest share price, WeWork is now worth less than $50 million.

Eurovea Tower, the first skyscraper in Bratislava on the Danube embankment, has received usage approval. Construction of Slovakia’s tallest building was led by J&T Real Estate (JTRE) and completed less than four years after obtaining the building permit. Only apartment interiors and common areas need to be finished before properties are handed over in spring 2024, the developer announced. 

M Core is continuing its strategy of developing SBU (Small Business Unit) warehouses under its Multipark brand. The company has recently signed two projects in Poland, in Zabrze and Bydgoszcz. 

There is a high demand for private accommodation in Bucharest, offering students modern and flexible accommodation options, with the current supply covering less than half of the actual requirements, according to Colliers data.
