Nová Merina in Trenčín is a project that has brought together the original investor Occam Real Estate and the city in the development efforts. Now a new investor, WOOD & Company, is entering the project.

The previous investor remains in the project as a minority partner and project manager. In 2022, Occam Real Estate in cooperation with the city of Trenčín announced an architectural competition. The project from the studio Sadovsky & Architects in cooperation with Marko & Placemakers and Studio CHYBIK + KRISTOF won. In the next phase, the investor continued with the preparation of an architectural-urban study of the entire zone. The current architectural design is following the city master plan. The city of Trenčín changed it very quickly last year, it only took ten months. The transformation of the area of the former textile factory is thus open to the next permit level.

Nová Merina will offer a total of approximately 600 apartments in the first 3 phases, the overall potential of the project and the entire zone is even greater. The start of construction of the first stage is planned for 2026, with completion in 2028, further stages will be launched according to market conditions following the first one. Estimated investment costs for these 3 phases are roughly €70 million.
