Opus Land Development says it will invest approximately €50 million this year in the construction of about 500 new homes in the residential complex Cosmopolis based in the northern part of Bucharest region.

This year, Mint Investments will continue focusing on creating above average returns with minimum risk for its investors in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Katarina Lindbergh, Partner of Mint Investments discussed this year’s plans for new residential projects in Prague and Bratislava with Property Forum.

According to Cushman & Wakefield, 2022 witnessed a recovery in commercial real estate investment activity in CEE, with the year closing marginally up compared to the previous year. Total investment volumes in Central and Eastern Europe came in at €10.7 billion, up by 6.6% year-on-year. With more than €5.7 billion worth of deals, Poland continued to lead the way across the region.

Panattoni has sold its strategic Wroclaw Campus project in southwest Poland to P3 Logistic Parks. The project totals 185,000 sqm. The price has not been disclosed.

Despite the lack of significant changes in credit availability, high inflation and rising prices, residential property sales in the last quarter of 2022 bettered the previous quarter’s performance. Sales growth was recorded in each of the six major markets with an average q-o-q of 29%, says JLL advisory agency. 

Industrial developer CTP Romania will install a photovoltaic power station with a capacity of 1.5 MW in its CTPark Bucharest project as part of its investments in green energy. 

The share of IT companies in the Bucharest office leasing market has shrunk to less than 30% compared to a prepandemic level of more than 50%, according to data from real estate consultancy 24 REAL. 

Property developer Cordia Romania, part of Futureal group, says it has obtained the occupancy permit for the second phase of Parcului20, its residential complex based in northern Bucharest. 

While the costs of construction materials in Romania rose during 2022, impacting the ability of developers to self-finance their projects, the current outlook is not pointing towards an improvement of this situation this year, according to an analysis by the Eastern European Construction Forecasting Association (EECFA).

Industrial and logistics developer VGP said its contracted rental income stood at €303.2 million in 2022, up 18.4% compared to 2021, while its volume of new delivered projects reached a record 1.1 million sqm.
