Property deals fall in Romania during January
Romania recorded a 17% decrease in the number of transactions in January, compared to the same period last year, totaling just over 8,400 property deals, according to data by the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI).

Industrial leasing in Romania slides 20% during 2024
Leasing of industrial and logistics spaces in Romania amounted to around 620,000 sqm in 2024, down by around 20% compared to the near-record level reached in 2023. The overall stock rose by 400,000 sqm to 7.4 million sqm at the end of last year, according to a report by Colliers.

New leases
- Eeze, the casino software and tech provider headquartered in Malta with offices in London, has leased 1,200 sqm of office space in Bucharest-based AFI Park Floreasca. The transaction was brokered by Crosspoint Real Estate.
- Garmin, specializing in technology and GPS products for various markets, has leased 8,000 sqm across the UBC Tower and UBC Riviera buildings near Iulius Mall Cluj.
- Local courier company Sameday is occupying a new 5,000 sqm last-mile logistics facility in Constanța Olympian Parks, part of Helios Phoenix Group. During the 2025 Black Friday campaign, Sameday's new regional hub in Constanța processed over 400,000 parcels.
New appointments
- CBRE Investment Management announced the firm is evolving the leadership model in its EMEA Direct Real Estate business. Under the enhanced structure, Rik Eertink will assume the role of President and CIO of EMEA Direct Real Estate, after serving as President of EMEA Direct Real Estate for the past five years.
- Nhood has appointed Mihaela Petruescu as the new Country Director for Property Services Romania & Poland as of October. She previously held leadership positions at large real estate firms, such as Cushman & Wakefield Echinox and CBRE Romania.
- Daniel Orczyk has been named Senior Project Manager at the technical advisory department of Avison Young in Poland. He is a licensed structural engineer and building site manager with over 20 years of experience.
