Ikonix, a newcomer to the Czech development and energy market, has presented an ambitious plan to become one of the most important players in the domestic market.

Within the Real Estate division, it currently has 9 development projects in preparation with a total value of over CZK 3.2 billion (€131.5 million), which includes more than 400 apartments in Prague and other cities. The Nová Cihelna project in Kladno, with 111 units, is already under construction, and Ikonix is planning to launch three more projects in the capital by the end of this year.

In the Energy division, the company is developing 5 large-capacity battery storage facilities in the Czech Republic with a total capacity of 60 MW. It is now preparing to launch one of the first battery storage projects without a source (stand-alone battery) in the Czech Republic. “We prepared well for the new trend, which is also an investment opportunity. That is why we are already starting several projects this year. Accumulating energy in battery storage will enable greater stability and flexibility of the energy network and is an essential part of the energy transformation in the Czech Republic,” emphasises Jan Machač, Energy Development Partner at Ikonix.

Thanks to cooperation with institutional investors, the company wants to rank among the most important developers on the domestic market within 5 years. “Every year, we want to bring new investment opportunities worth a minimum of CZK 1.5 billion (€61.7 million). Although we focus primarily on Prague and the surrounding area, we do not avoid other areas in the Czech Republic and abroad. We are preparing projects in the Olomouc and the Liberec region and are considering entering Brno,” describes the company’s plans, Ladislav Pospíšil, Acquisition Partner at Ikonix.
