HB Reavis completes West Station I in Warsaw

Construction of the first of two West Station office buildings, located in the immediate vicinity of the new Warszawa Zachodnia railway station, has completed. The complex, seen from both Jerozolimskie Ave. and all passing trains, will soon welcome its first occupiers. Its developer, international real estate company HB Reavis, signed a loan contract to refinance the project.

V17 office building opens in Budapest

V17, a new office building located at the beginning of the Váci corridor in Budapest has officially opened. The seven-storey sustainable building offers nearly 13,000 square meters Class A office space, most of which is let to E.ON Hungary Zrt. for long term. V17 is owned by Torony Ingatlan Befektetési Alap represented by Diófa Alapkezelő Zrt., and was developed by Hungarian commercial real estate developer WING Zrt. Building V17 required a HUF10 billion investment.

Prologis delivers fourth logistics facility in Szczecin

Prologis has started construction of a speculative facility totalling 9,200 square metres at Prologis Park Szczecin. The building is 60 percent pre-let to an international furniture company, which will occupy a total of 19,600 square metres in the park, including space in the new development. The building is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2017.

Norway’s sovereign wealth fund has acquired a 50 percent interest in a logistics portfolio comprising eight buildings and developable land in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, in a joint venture with Prologis. During the same period, three logistics properties in France have been sold.

Immofinanz starts retail development in Poland

Immofinanz will soon start construction on a further shopping centre under its VIVO! brand in the Polish city of Krosno. The new shopping centre will have approx. 21,000 sqm of rentable space for more than 60 shops. Pre-rentals are successfully underway, with the future tenants including H&M, Media Markt and Helios Cinema. The investment costs will total approx. €34 million, and the opening is planned for the fourth quarter of 2017. The VIVO! Krosno will be the third VIVO! shopping centre in Poland.

New leases

  • MLP Group has bolstered the tenant mix at MLP Poznań West by welcoming Stockly, a 3D printing specialist. The company has leased 2,400 sqm of warehouse and office space, with operations already underway via early access. A full handover is expected in December 2026. Stockly was represented by Rock Estate during the transaction.
  • Echo Investment has signed a lease agreement with Auchan Polska for 1,200 sqm of retail space within Fuzja, a flagship multifunctional complex in Łódź. The retailer is scheduled to open the outlet during the summer of 2026.
  • Froo Romania, a subsidiary of the Żabka Group, has relocated its HQ to the Bucharest-based Hermes Business Campus. The retailer secured around 2,900 sqm of office space in a transaction facilitated by Colliers.

New appointments

  • iO Partners has appointed Constantin Banu as Business Development Director for its Industrial and Land segments. With over 25 years of experience in the Romanian real estate sector, Banu is widely credited with helping shape the local logistics market. In his new role, he will oversee expansion strategies for the two segments.
  • Avison Young has promoted Bartłomiej Krzyżak and Marcin Purgal to the roles of Co-Heads of the Investment Department in Poland. Krzyżak, previously Senior Director, brings 18 years of commercial real estate experience, having joined Avison Young in 2017. Purgal, also a former Senior Director and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), transitions into the co-head role with 23 years of experience in the CEE commercial markets.
  • Avison Young has strengthened its Polish leadership with three senior promotions. Patryk Błach ascends to Associate Director within the Investment Advisory Department. Kamil Głowienka has been named Senior Project Manager. Furthermore, Katarzyna Uzar becomes a Valuation and Innovation Specialist, tasked with integrating technological solutions and coordinating global departmental projects.
