Straco Real Estate and Baltisse announce the successful acquisition of a majority stake in SPEEDWELL, a premier real estate developer based in Romania. Speedwell has kicked off the development of the second residential building of the mixed-use project Paltim based in Timișoara.

The volume of commercial land sales in Romania excluding the industrial segment fell by less than 10% to €450 million during 2023 compared to the previous year, according to a Colliers report.

Speedwell says it has completed the construction works for the first 123 apartments in the mixed-use urban regeneration project Paltim, based in Timișoara. The delivery of the apartments is expected in Q1 2024.

Speedwell expects to break ground in 2024 with its new villa project near Bucharest, in Corbeanca, with the first residential units set to be delivered in early 2025.

Speedwell obtained the BREEAM Excellent Certification for the first building in The Ivy residential complex under development in northern Bucharest.

Speedwell has secured a loan of €13.6 million from Garanti Bank for the development of the third phase of The Ivy residential project in northern Bucharest.  

E.ON Business Services Cluj, part of the German group E.ON, will relocate to a  new office space in Record Park, the mixed-use project developed by Speedwell, and owned by AYA Properties Fund. The fit out works for the new office have been completed and the company is expected to start operations in the new space soon.

Real estate developer Speedwell has purchased a new land plot in Timișoara, where the company plans to start the construction of its second mixed-use project in the city. The value of the transaction was not made public.

Belgian developer Speedwell has started the construction works for the second phase of development for SpacePlus West project, near Bucharest. The new development will have a leasable area of 7,000 sqm, while the whole project will reach 10,000 sqm.
