Speedwell Development has appointed Maria Jianu as its new Leasing Director, tasked with growing the tenant portfolio and strengthening strategic partnerships for projects such as Queens District, SpacePlus and Paltim.


With over seven years of experience in the real estate industry, she has managed leasing strategies for over 300,000 sqm of office space.

In her new role, she will develop strategies to attract renowned brands and emerging companies, contributing to the creation of dynamic communities within the company's projects. Furthermore, Jianu will work closely with Speedwell's Commercial Director Andreea Comșa.

"Her impressive track record and professional experience, along with her dynamism and enthusiasm, perfectly reflect the values we promote," says Didier Balcaen, Co-Founder and CEO of Speedwell Development.

Jianu will also be involved in future developments, including the mixed-use project located on the site of the former 1 IUNIE S.A factory and the regeneration project of the former Griro platform - CityZen.

She has previously worked for local and international developers such as Genesis Property, Skanska and Vastint, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Speedwell's portfolio includes approximately 150,000 sqm of office and retail space, over 6,000 apartments and 23,000 sqm of industrial space, with a total project value estimated at €1.5 billion.

  • TriGranit has finalized a lease extension with Mondelez Europe Services to remain in the Signum Work Station building through 2032. Facilitated by broker CBRE, the agreement secures nearly 4,000 sqm of office surface for the global snacks group member within Warsaw’s Mokotów district.
  • Vastint Romania secured its first tenant for Bucharest-based Timpuri Noi Square Phase 2, signing SCOR for 3,250 sqm. The transaction, brokered by CBRE, facilitates SCOR’s expansion within Vastint’s local portfolio. The company has previously leased 2,320 sqm in Business Garden Bucharest.
  • EVO Properties has named Alexandru Marin as the new Property Manager for the London and Oslo office buildings in Bucharest. He brings over 15 years of property management experience.

New appointments

  • Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
  • Czech investment group SCF has expanded its team by appointing Jan Simandl as Senior Leasing Team Leader. In this role, Simandl will oversee leasing activities across the company’s commercial property portfolio. He previously worked for CPI Property Group and CBRE.
  • Michał Kochanowski-Laren has joined Avison Young Poland’s Technical Advisory and Project Management team as Project Manager. In his new role, he is responsible for delivering a variety of consultancy projects across all segments of the commercial real estate market in Poland. Kochanowski-Laren is an electrical engineer and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.
