The food court in the Europa Shopping Center in Banská Bystrica has undergone significant changes, reports Aktuality.sk. It offers bigger choice of F&B options, new premises and self-service ordering kiosks as improved UX for their customers.

Indotek Group has announced the strategic acquisition of Galleria Porta Siena on LinkedIn. Galleria Porta Siena, a prime commercial property located in the heart of Siena, joins the group's growing portfolio of Italian retail assets.

SES is refurbishing the King Cross shopping centre in Zagreb, Croatia which it has owned and managed since 2018. Construction work to completely refurbish the centre will begin in 2024 following an investment of approximately €40 million. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2025.

After the extremely difficult year of 2022, the Ukranian retail market has finally managed to improve its performance. Having talked to key market players about trends, tendencies and forecasts, Iryna Nastych summarised the situation in an article prepared by the Ukrainian Real Estate Club for Property Forum.

CC Real has commenced its extensive €20 million refurbishment of City Center one Split, due for completion by the end of Q2 2024. Key upgrades will include the creation of a first-of-its-kind entertainment and leisure area for Croatia, lighting and interior design improvements, brand-new outdoor spaces, and measures to reduce energy consumption. More than 7,000 sqm of retail units will be reshaped to improve clustering, and more than 10,000 sqm of premises will be renovated.

After 13 years of operation, Eurovea will become the largest shopping centre in Slovakia as its extension is set to open on May 25th. The centre reports an occupancy rate of 95% and promises to bring new brands and innovative concepts. The developer J&T Real Estate is now completing work on most of the buildings in the second phase of the Eurovea project.

Sonae Sierra will be responsible for managing Prishtina Mall, the largest shopping centre in Southeastern Europe, which is scheduled to open today. With a GLA of 115,000 sqm, Prishtina Mall is positioned as a regional centre intended to serve the surrounding area of the Balkans.

The Kaufland Marketplace will go live in Slovakia on February 15. Under the domain Kaufland.sk, online sellers will then have another sales channel than Germany available to them. The Kaufland Marketplace will also be launched in the Czech Republic in a few months. The marketplaces will be managed via the all-in-one solution Kaufland Global Marketplace, the company announced.

NEPI Rockcastle, through its subsidiary, has acquired all the issued shares in the Forum Gdańsk shopping centre from a company ultimately owned by Blackstone-managed funds. The transaction encompassed the repayment of all the asset’s outstanding debt. Forum Gdańsk is a 63,500 sqm GLA shopping centre, situated in Gdańsk, the sixth largest city in Poland by population, with over 470,000 inhabitants.

Following the pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Cushman & Wakefield has brought back the Main Streets Across the World report, ranking 47 countries by headline rents in best-in-class urban locations in each of them. The Czech Republic is newly represented by Prague’s Pařížská Street, which has replaced Na Příkopě as the country’s most expensive street. Among the other most expensive main streets of the world, Pařížská ranks 17th (Na Příkopě ranked 18th in 2019) and comes first in the CEE region. As compared by the survey, the highest prime rent achieved in Pařížská as of this year’s third quarter amounts to €2,719 per square metre per year, or approximately €227 per square metre a month.
