Czech industrial market reaches new records in Q2 2022

Globalworth reports strong increase in net profit

Czech real estate investments to grow to €2 billion this year

Garbe records skyrocketing logistics rents across Europe

Demand for logistics real estate is not slowing in Europe, driving significant upward price growth. This development is further fuelled by increased construction and financing costs in the new-build segment. Overall, 70% of the examined European markets registered substantial growth since the end of the second half of 2021, whereas 30% saw no change in rent levels. The remarkable thing is that no region reported negative rental growth. These are some of the findings Garbe Research presented in its latest Garbe Pyramid Map, the 2022 mid-year update of the company’s yield and rent map for the 122 most important logistics real estate submarkets in 23 European countries.

Accolade Industrial Fund reports strong growth

Accolade Industrial Fund reported a crown appreciation of 4.23% in the second quarter of this year. For the entire first half of 2022, the fund achieved an appreciation of 5.45%. Resi developers in Hungary take more cautious approach

Hungary’s high construction activity start in Q1 2022 was followed by a slowdown in Q2 2022. The EBI Construction Activity Report has found that between this April and June construction works started at a value of around HUF 800 billion. Although the value of projects entering construction decreased in Q2, these are not low numbers at all as Activity Start has been the 5th highest (on a quarterly basis) of recent years. It should be added, though, that recently construction costs have dramatically increased, massively pushing up the Activity Start indicator calculated at current prices, while at constant prices the volume would be lower.

Latest news


New leases

  • Signify is relocating its existing headquarters in Lódź. The new office, located in the city centre in the Hi Piotrkowska complex, has an area of over 2,800 sqm. The tenant was assisted in the signing of the contract and the process of arranging the new office by the consulting firm CBRE.
  • Magwise Medical Centre is a new tenant of the Wola Retro office building in Warsaw owned by Develia. The clinic, which specialises in mental health, has taken nearly 390 square metres of space on the ground floor of the building.
  • Logistics company Fiege will lease approximately 5,000 sqm in the ONE industrial park in Lovosice built by Cromwell Property Group. The transaction was arranged by Matěj Indra, head of the industrial department at 108 Agency Czech Republic.

New appointments

  • Lucia Niculae has been appointed Business Development Director of Romanian construction company Pedro Construct. She has been an investor since 2018 and currently manages her own property portfolio. 
  • 108 Agency promoted Matej Indra to Head of Industrial Agency for the Czech Republic.
  • Michał Ozimek has joined the Valuation department at Corees Polska - Commercial Real Estate, taking up the position of Senior Valuation & Investment Analyst. Working in the agency's Warsaw branch, he will be responsible for supporting processes related to the development of property valuations.
