Sixteen office buildings have been completed in Warsaw in the first half of 2016, totalling 350,000 sqm. 100,000 sqm is scheduled for completion in H2 2016, which will bring the annual supply to a new record high of 450,000 sqm. Cushman & Wakefield has published its Property Times report on the Warsaw office market for H1 2016.

TriGranit has announced that a preliminary agreement has been entered into to sell the Bonarka City Center in Krakow, to Rockcastle, a property company investing in retail centers in Central and Eastern Europe. The financial closure of the transaction will take place in the following months.

KPMG has leased an office area of over 1,700 sqm in O3 Business Campus in Kraków – an office complex which is being developed by Echo Investment. The company is to move into the new office at the end of this year. The tenant was represented by the Colliers International consulting company.

Rockcastle Global Real Estate has acquired three regional shopping centres in Poland for a total of 522 million euros. Bonarka City Center in Kraków, Focus Mall in Zielona Góra and Focus Mall Piotrków Trybunalski will be added to the South African fund’s portfolio.

Atrium European Real Estate Limited, an owner and manager of shopping centres and retail real estate in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced its results for the second quarter and six months ended 30 June 2016.

pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank provided an investment facility of €34 million to IMMOFINANZ. The proceeds will be utilized for the refinancing of the Nimbus office building in Warsaw. The transaction closed in July 2016. 

Norway-based Libertech Group has signed a lease on more than 700 sqm of office space in Warsaw Spire. The company intends to set up its headquarters for the CEE region in Poland. Cushman & Wakefield has advised the tenant in the lease negotiations. It will also coordinate and oversee the office fit-out.

Investment into Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries (excluding Russia) for H1 2016 registered a substantial increase (59%) compared to same period of last year, surpassing €5 billion. Expectations are that for the entire year, investment volumes will reach and exceed the record volumes of 2015 with all CEE countries expected to perform strongly, says CBRE.

XL Catlin has signed a lease agreement for office space at UBM’s PEGAZ complex in Wrocław. The tenant was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.

International real estate advisor Savills, on behalf of Aviva Investors has sold a Small Business Unit type warehouse and a 3.5 ha development land situated in Łódź Business Park. The buyer was industrial developer Panattoni Europe.
