Immofinanz is continuing the expansion of its STOP SHOP retail park chain at a fast pace: the 57th location was opened today in the Polish city of Szczytno. After Niš in Serbia and Świnoujście in Poland, this represents the third project completion in two months and the next locations have already been identified. A STOP SHOP will open in the Serbian city of Valjevo during early autumn, and in Poland preparations are underway for retail parks in Pultusk and Gdynia. These projects will raise the total number of STOP SHOPs to 60.
Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate GmbH (Warburg-HIH Invest) has finalised the Sales & Purchase Agreement for the office property Prime Corporate Center in the city centre of Warsaw. The transaction, which took the form of an asset deal, was carried out as a club deal for four separate accounts of German institutional investors. The property has been sold by the Warsaw-based developer Golub GetHouse. The buyer was represented in this transaction by Cushman & Wakefield.
There is a positive outlook of stable growth for the Polish hospitality market as the country’s hotels continue to attract both domestic and foreign tourists. Invesco Real Estate (IRE) has announced the sale of Zaulek Piekna office building on behalf of one of its separate account clients in Germany to GLL Real Estate Partners GmbH.
Goodman Group has signed two lease agreements for a total of 7,800 sqm at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre (PLC), located adjacent to the Deepwater Container Terminal (DCT) in Gdańsk. With these new agreements, all available space (51,500 sqm) at PLC is now fully leased. In response to market demand, Goodman is also constructing 15,836 sqm of class-A warehousing at PLC, which will be delivered in the third quarter of 2016.
A new distribution centre for Tesco is being built at SEGRO Logistics Park Poznań. The company will start operations in the BTS building comprising over 30 000 sqm at the turn of September and October 2016. Deliveries to 140 retail outlets in the northern and north-western regions of Poland will be completed from the new central warehouse.
Prologis has signed a 42,170 square metre build-to-suit (BTS) agreement with Agata at Prologis Park Piotrków II in Poland. Real estate agency CBRE facilitated the transaction.
Global financial services firm Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has signed a lease for an additional 7,500 square meters of office space in the Brown Brothers Harriman building at Kraków’s Orange Office Park. Now in Phase III of its building expansion, BBH will occupy over 14,500 square meters. Cushman & Wakefield represented BBH in the negotiations. Wardyński & Partners provided legal advice.
The total modern office stock in Warsaw reached 4.75 million sqm at the end of Q1 2016. As much as ca. 75% of this space is located in the central Core and Fringe zones, as well as Upper South and South West. Focus Estate Fund acquired Galeria Sandomierz retail centre in Southeastern Poland from Euro Real Estate Investments LLP. The buyer was represented by Cushman & Wakefield and JLL acted on behalf of the seller.
Online documentation and efficiency solutions company Craft Docs secured a 1,000 sqm of office space in the renewed Krausz Palace office complex in downtown Budapest. The company will move in August 2023. The startup has become the first tenant of the building, Jake Lodge, principal of Avision Young Hungary responsible for the leasing and operative management of the building said.
A new tenant has moved into the Eximius Park office complex near Kraków. GoE Wellness is a British healthy lifestyle start-up that is expanding its operations in Europe. The company's new office has an area of approximately 900 sqm and is located in building 200.
Galeria Jurajska is strengthening its offer. Three new tenants - fashion brands Quiosque and Lovisa and patisserie Lody Czewskie - will soon appear in the Częstochowa shopping centre.

CPI Property Group is expanding its retail leasing department. Dariusz Kafara has been appointed as the new Leasing Manager. At the Warsaw branch of the company, Dariusz is responsible for maintaining the maximum level of commercialisation in two retail park chains from the group's portfolio - CityMarket and STOP SHOP.
Brian Nyeng Olesen, formerly head of commercial at the Salling Group, has been appointed as the new managing director of Netto Polska. The position was previously held by Hugo Mesquita.
M Core appoints Magdalena Kowalewska as the new Chief Operating Officer at LCP Properties, Poland. This comes at the same time that Krystian Modrzejewski has accepted a post as the Group Head of Expansion for Poland, where he will be responsible for realising the opportunity for land and asset acquisition in aid of portfolio growth.
