Global motion technology company Schaeffler is set to open a 62,500 sqm regional distribution and kitting centre at Prologis Park Ujazd in Poland. The build-to-suit facility, currently under development, will serve the Eastern and Southeastern European markets and is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2026.

“This project increases our distribution capacity and supports our growth ambitions,” said Eduardo Sack, Senior Vice President Operations and Supply Chain Management, Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions

The investment is part of a broader transformation of Schaeffler’s supply chain and was driven by Ujazd’s strategic location, cost efficiency, and favourable lease terms.

Designed by Prologis, the building will feature automation systems and aim for BREEAM Outstanding certification. Energy will come from heat pumps and rooftop photovoltaics, with sustainable materials used throughout construction.

“This is a milestone project for us. Not only does it launch Prologis Park Ujazd, but it also underscores our commitment to sustainable, high-tech logistics facilities," commented Paweł Sapek, Regional Head of Central Europe, Prologis

The Katowice Special Economic Zone supported the project with incentives and infrastructure, marking it as its 500th investment decision. Knight Frank advised on location, financial modelling, and workforce analysis.

Located near the A4 and A1 motorways, Prologis Park Ujazd offers 14 MW of power and additional development capacity of 82,000 sqm.
