SOF Connect, the operator of Sofia Airport, announced its plans for accelerated investment in Sofia Airport by the end of 2025. More than €50 million annually will be invested in the expansion of the airport in the next three years. This will increase to €60 million or two-thirds more than what is stipulated in the concession contract.

Antoine Mocachen and Stephane Rauber, Managing Partners of renewable energy producer Volta Polska have talked to Property Forum about the Polish market of ‘green energy’, the war-related energy crisis and their investment plans for the following quarters.

The hypermarket chain has switched on 420 kWp of rooftop solar panels, bringing the total number of facilities to six. The two new sites are located in the southern city of Petrich and in the capital's Mladost 4 district. By the end of the ear, the retail leader plans to put into operation three more photovoltaic installations.

Kajima Europe and Griffin Capital Partners acquired a 70% stake in HYMON, Poland's leading photovoltaic installation company. Property developer Speedwell says it will be installing photovoltaic panels on two of its office projects in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca in a bid to make its building more sustainable. 

Romanian developer Genesis Property has completed the largest renewable energy project in an office park in Romania. The project consisted of the installation of more than 1,000 photovoltaic panels on an area of more than 4,000 sqm, in prosumer mode, on the office buildings’ roofs in YUNITY Park based in northern Bucharest, following an investment of €1 million.

Ghelamco has completed the construction of its first three photovoltaic farms in Poland as a part of a program to achieve energy neutrality announced in May this year.

The largest rooftop solar power plant in the Czech Republic is to be built on a manufacturing campus in Tachov in the Plzeň Region. The estimated investment is almost €9.17 million, the Urbanity Real Estate Group announced.

Bratislava's Aupark shopping centre, owned by Wood & Company and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, is adding another step to improve its sustainable management. In addition to sorting, low-energy lighting and water conservation, it is now installing hundreds of photovoltaic panels on its roof. The owners are hoping to make significant savings in energy resources, most notably saving 100,000 cubic metres of natural gas per year, reports the online daily Reality.trend.sk.
