Currently, facade and installation works are in progress. The next stage will be finishing the interior of the office building. Savills has examined both employee-driven and occupier/employer-driven factors to assess which global cities may see a faster transition to hybrid working post-COVID-19. From an office occupier perspective, New York, Paris, London, Berlin and Frankfurt may be primed for a faster transition to hybrid working, given comparatively high office costs, already flexible working practices and extended lockdowns, while less flexible working cultures in Mumbai, Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City mean that any transition to hybrid working may be slower.

Portugal's Fidelidade buys office building in Budapest

At that time, the new owner apparently would have been Chinese-owned Resolution Property but the latest developments indicate that the company that actually acquired the building in Portugal's Fidelidade. Although the two companies are rather far from each other at first glance, they are actually part of the same Chinese holding.

New leases

  • Worldbox has entered the Romanian market with its first store at Scallier's Funshop Park in Vaslui. The multi-brand store covers more than 660 sqm and offers clothing, footwear and accessories in the casual and sportswear segment.
  • Greek jewelry designer Anna Maria Mazaraki has opened her first Romanian store in Bucharest-based ParkLake Shopping Center. The transaction for the new location was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
  • Squarepoint, a global quantitative investment management firm, has leased close to 2,200 sqm in Warsaw based Skyliner II. Squarepoint was represented in the transaction by CBRE. Legal advisory for Karimpol was provided by Argon Legal.

New appointments

  • CBRE Investment Management announced the firm is evolving the leadership model in its EMEA Direct Real Estate business. Under the enhanced structure, Rik Eertink will assume the role of President and CIO of EMEA Direct Real Estate, after serving as President of EMEA Direct Real Estate for the past five years.
  • Nhood has appointed Mihaela Petruescu as the new Country Director for Property Services Romania & Poland as of October. She previously held leadership positions at large real estate firms, such as Cushman & Wakefield Echinox and CBRE Romania.
  • Daniel Orczyk has been named Senior Project Manager at the technical advisory department of Avison Young in Poland. He is a licensed structural engineer and building site manager with over 20 years of experience.
