MLP Group has signed a new agreement with Santander Bank Polska. The bank has provided it with financing of more than €19 million and PLN 4 million. The funds will be used to refinance the existing warehouse facilities and finance the construction of new warehouse facilities within the MLP Łódź logistics park. The Kycia Legal law firm advised on the transaction.

Savills Investment Management has signed a lease extension at Park Szczecin Trzebusz with Carlsberg Supply Company Polska S.A., a member of one of the world’s largest brewers, Carlsberg Group. Carlsberg decided to continue leasing almost 15,000 sqm of warehouse space at the facility.

E-commerce clothing giant Shein will start operations in the area of almost 55,000 sqm in Panattoni Park Wrocław South Hub as early as this quarter. The developer has already leased half of the planned 250,000 sqm in the Lower Silesian complex.

While the leasing of industrial spaces crossing for the first time the 1 million sqm milestone in 2022, the deliveries of new projects will total around 550,000 sqm during this year, which should take the total stock to a fresh high of 7 million sqm, according to real estate consultancy CBRE. 

The new facility in Ecser, not far from the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, will offer 47,000 sqm of industrial space for local and foreign companies from 2024.

In 2021, the warehouse sector strongly dominated Poland's commercial real estate market in terms of volume. The value of transactions - approximately €3.2 billion - accounted for over half of the total value of investment transactions. In 2022, the sector's result - €2 billion – accounted for "only" a 34% share in the total transaction volume in Poland, says Bartłomiej Krzyżak, Senior Director, Investment at Avison Young Poland.

Romania’s industrial and logistics market expanded by over 500,000 sqm during 2022, with around half of all deliveries based in the Bucharest region, according to a report by real estate consultancy Colliers. 

VGP has acquired a new tenant for its newly prepared technology park in Ústí nad Labem, situated in the northern part of the Czech Republic at a 90-kilometre distance from Prague. The new tenant in Hall A at VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City is Bosal, a company from the automotive industry.

Last year MLP Group recorded very good results as regards contracts signed with tenants. During the period, the Polish developer of logistics facilities leased in approximately 240,000 sqm of space. The largest number of contracts were signed at the MLP Pruszków II park near Warsaw and MLP Poznań West. This year the level of commercialisation is planned to go up by about 20%.

A new inner city warehouse, Gdynia City Logistics, will be built in Gdynia on Północna Street, just 9 km from the city centre, less than 30 minutes drive from the airport and 10 minutes from Gdynia Port. Torus, as part of the diversification of its operations under the name Torus Logistics and in cooperation with BTV Real Estate, has just received a decision on land development conditions.
