Panattoni is launching its second project in Warsaw’s Targówek district this year. The company is to deliver 17,615 sqm of space in an investment of €8.5 million. City Logistics Warsaw VI will be the company’s tenth development in Warsaw.

The Warsaw region accounts for almost 20 percent of the entire stock of industrial space in the country and the number of urban centres within the capital city itself continues to increase. This is where Panattoni has already completed five City Logistics developments as well as three City Logistics Airport projects near Warsaw Chopin Airport. Recently, the developer launched construction work on City Logistics Warsaw IX in Targówek, and now work is beginning on the development of City Logistics Warsaw VI on ul. Księżnej Anny.

The new project, being just 7 km from the centre of the city, will allow tenants to easily serve the Warsaw market as well as run their national and international operations since they will have access to the E67, a key pan-European transport corridor that joins Helsinki to Warsaw, as well as to the transport corridor connecting Warsaw to Berlin.

“The development of another urban project in Warsaw demonstrates how attractive Warsaw is for the City Logistics sector. It is not only logistics and warehouse space that appears in these centres, but there are also laboratories, R&D departments and hi-tech factories that require skilled personnel with specific qualifications. Since Warsaw is an important academic centre with over a quarter of a million students, the city has huge potential”, says Karolina Przygoda, the Associate Leasing Director for the Warsaw City Region at Panattoni.

Due to the city location, it is possible for workers to easily reach the centre with a bus stop in the near vicinity and two metro stations within 2.5 km. As part of the project, Panattoni is to develop an internal access road and also implement a range of sustainable solutions to improve user wellbeing as well as the location’s biodiversity and the centre’s energy efficiency. These measures will mean the centre qualifies for BREEAM certification with a rating of ‘Excellent’. The developer is also to use ornamental greenery on the site.
