Prime headline rents have increased slightly to a new level of €5 sqm/month in the Czech Republic and €5.20 sqm/month in the Greater Prague region during the second quarter of 2021. The Industrial Research Forum announced the latest industrial market figures.

European Logistics Investment (ELI) has started construction works of the second phase of its warehouse scheme in one of the key logistics regions in Poland – Silesia. Park Tychy II, a 43 000 sqm project is planned as a mixed-use property with BREEAM certificate at the Excellent level. The building is already leased in almost 100% to two tenants – Tiberina Group subsidiary U-Form, a leading supplier of components for the automotive sector in the EMEA region and Nodium Group, the owner of two online platforms – sport-shop.pl and nodik.pl.  

Rohlik Group, the provider of online grocery delivery services, has leased a warehouse covering 12,000 sqm in CTPark Bucharest North as part of its expansion strategy in Romania. 

Wing is launching the second phase of the East Gate Business Park project at the junction of motorways M0 and M3. The development of East Gate PRO will start with the construction of two new halls with an area of over 20,000 sqm, in response to market needs and increased demand. The first halls of East Gate PRO will be completed in Q2 2022.

Colliers sold a 30,000 sqm industrial complex as part of a 9 ha site in Nemesvámos, near Veszprém, to the Austrian automation company Knapp. The seller MTD Hungary, a lawnmower producer, closed the factory in 2020 as they decided to centralise the production somewhere else and asked Colliers to put the property on the market for sale.

MLP Group has just contracted W.P.I.P. of Poznań to further expand its MLP Poznań West project in Dąbrówka. The general contractor is to build over 43,000 sqm of new space, with the construction works due to commence still in July.

Accolade expands its presence on the Polish market. The company has acquired two new industrial locations in Szczecin, with the intention of investing in the development of modern, Class A warehouses totalling 73,000 sqm GLA. The investment continues Accolade’s strategic expansion in the Szczecin region.

The growth of intermodal connections along the New Silk Road and the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor is creating many new opportunities for warehouse developers in Poland. Upgrade works are continuing apace on the railway lines in Małaszewicze, Bydgoszcz and Pomerania, according to Cresa Poland.

Euronics, an electronics and appliances retailer, has signed a contract for nearly 28.000 sqm of warehouse space in CTP's CTPark Budapest East industrial park in Üllő, Hungary. Euronics will develop a fully automated warehouse right next to Lenovo's first European factory. The building is scheduled to start operations in early 2022.

The Arete Investment and Real Estate Group signed an agreement with Raiffeisenbank to draw a €30 million umbrella credit line. The funds will be used to accelerate the growth of the Arete Industrial SICAV fund's portfolio through prepared acquisitions and new construction of industrial real estate while maintaining a safe and conservative LTV ratio.
