Panattoni Europe has completed the construction of a modern logistics centre for Decathlon. The 32,000-square-metre investment is based in Łódź and is the company’s second central warehouse in Poland. 

Apart from Nowa Fabryczna - the first office building in Nowe Centrum Łodzi – Skanska will also develop its newest project, Brama Miasta in the city of Łódź. The two office buildings, with leasable office space totalling 40,000 sqm, will be able to accommodate up to 4,000 employees. Construction is to be launched in H1 2017.

Panattoni Europe is to build another distribution centre for Castorama Polska. The project, one of the biggest in Poland, will be delivered in Stryków. Contruction works will commence later this April. The lease was mediated by experts from JLL.

Panattoni Europe is to build a logistics centre for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o.  The 79,000 sqm facility will be erected in Łódź, within the framework of BTS BSH, and will have its own railway siding. Construction works are planned to begin in the coming May, and the investment is anticipated to be completed in the spring next year. 

In recent years, Łódź has enhanced its position as an important destination for companies from the business services sector in Poland. Numerous global brands, such as Accenture, Fujitsu Technology Solutions, Infosys, TomTom and Xerox, have established their business services units in Łódź. Master Management Group is developing the tallest building in Łódź. The 19-storey building will be a part of the Piotrkowska 155 mixed-use complex, currently under construction. 

ZF TRW, a global automotive supplier, has selected Symetris Business Park – developed by Echo Investment – as the location for its new electronics engineering centre in Łódź. The company has leased nearly 2,400 sqm of space. JLL advised ZF TRW on the process of selecting the new space.

Prologis has completed the construction of a 22,200 square metre build-to-suit (BTS) facility for Arvato Polska leader in terms of complex outsourcing services at Prologis Park Stryków. CBRE facilitated this transaction. It is the second BTS project Prologis has launched this year at the park, and the third in Central Poland.  In the second quarter, Prologis started the construction of a 42,000 square metre facility for Agata at Piotrków Trybunalski and an 11,740 square metre BTS for German logistics operator Geis.

The Polish unit of Swedish IT company Cybercom has leased over 2,500 sqm of space in the Nowa Fabryczna office building developed by Skanska in the city of Łódź. JLL advised Cybercom on the leasing process.

Echo Polska Properties – an international fund operating as a REIT –is purchasing seven office buildings with almost 112,000 sqm of GLA from Echo Investment, a Polish developer. The total value of the properties as at the agreement amounts to almost €264 million. The sold properties are: O3 Business Campus in Kraków (phase I, II and III), Tryton Business House in Gdańsk, A4 Business Park in Katowice (phase III) and Symetris Business Park in Łódź (phase I and II).
