Central Poland, Prague and Bucharest are among the most desirable logistics locations in Europe, according to a new research by Prologis that examines why logistics customers in Europe choose certain locations over others.

JLL will launch its new office in Łódź, which will be the company’s fifth unit in Poland. Marta Pyziak has been appointed head of the company’s newly-established unit.

Panattoni Europe commenced the construction of a large-scale logistics centre for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego. The BTS (built-to-suit) facility with 79,000 sqm and its own railway siding will be delivered in Łódź. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 30 May, and construction works are scheduled for completion in spring 2018.

The historic area of the old Monopol Wódczany vodka distillery will be transformed into Monopolis, a project that will combine office space, services and cultural amenities along with restaurants. Construction works at Monopolis will be launched in H2 2017 by developer Virako.

During the last three years, companies have leased nearly 4 million sqm of modern office space in Poland. Taking the dynamic development of firms into consideration, 2017-2019 can generate office demand of up to 5 million sqm, JLL predicts.

JLL has been selected by Skanska Property Poland as the Property Manager of Nowa Fabryczna office building, part of the Nowe Centrum Łodzi urban redevelopment project. The building will be taken over by JLL management on 30th June 2017.

Panattoni Europe has completed the construction of a modern logistics centre for Decathlon. The 32,000-square-metre investment is based in Łódź and is the company’s second central warehouse in Poland. 

Apart from Nowa Fabryczna - the first office building in Nowe Centrum Łodzi – Skanska will also develop its newest project, Brama Miasta in the city of Łódź. The two office buildings, with leasable office space totalling 40,000 sqm, will be able to accommodate up to 4,000 employees. Construction is to be launched in H1 2017.

Panattoni Europe is to build another distribution centre for Castorama Polska. The project, one of the biggest in Poland, will be delivered in Stryków. Contruction works will commence later this April. The lease was mediated by experts from JLL.

Panattoni Europe is to build a logistics centre for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o.  The 79,000 sqm facility will be erected in Łódź, within the framework of BTS BSH, and will have its own railway siding. Construction works are planned to begin in the coming May, and the investment is anticipated to be completed in the spring next year.
