Adrian Pop, General Manager of ADP Green Building, spoke with Property Forum about the role of financial institutions in increasing the sustainability of real estate projects and the growing demand for certifications from international real estate investors.

Romanian developer One United Properties has announced the contracting of a €20 million increase in the financing obtained in 2021 for the development of One Cotroceni Park Office Phases 1 and Phase 2. The financing increase was backed by BCR and BRD and will be used to reimburse shareholder loans and cover other costs related to the credit facility increase transaction.

These are the last few days to register for the LEED for Cities and Communities Pro Training scheduled to be held in Warsaw on Monday, June 10th. The workshops will take place from 8:30 to 17:30 on Monday at the Colliers Poland office where coffee and lunch will be provided. All training material will be provided by the organizers. 

Globalworth has secured the LEED certification for Globalworth Tower Center International, located in the CBD area of Bucharest. Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has assisted the office developer in the certification process.

Vastint Poland has been awarded the LEED Gold certification for the Sound Garden Hotel located within Business Garden Warsaw. This is the last of seven buildings that make up this  complex, which has successfully undergone multi-criteria environmental verification.

Romanian developer Forte Partners has obtained the LEED v4 Platinum certification for its U•Center 2 office building based in Bucharest.

Pavăl Holding has appointed CBRE as manager of its U-Center 1 office building. The manager will oversee all aspects of the property in relation to tenants, subcontractors, and authorities.

Alesonor has achieved the LEED Community Platinum Precertification for Amber Forest complete suburb, which is under development near Bucharest. This has become the fourth project in Europe obtaining the Platinum precertification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). 

Real estate developer AFI Europe has obtained the LEED v4.1 O+M certification for its AFI Cotroceni mall in Bucharest. The company was assisted by Colliers in obtaining the green certification.
